I've been taking a look at the online products thread so might order some Aloveen or Ruddocks. Thanks, folks.

My lad hates the Euk FP which is why I want to change it. He'll eat it but he really does not like it. Despite him being Irish, I don't think he's that fond of spuds. I've also noticed that his skin is getting flaky. Don't know if the skin prob is being caused by the diet or the shampoo. I've been using Malaseb but I think this is prolly too harsh for him outside of any dietary stuff.

Buying Products Online?

What about dog food online? Eagle Pack, in particular. -
Thanks for that info, Corine. Before feeding the duck and oatmeal I'd need to know that the chicken is hydrolised like it is in the Ultra Z/D. I wonder if Eagle Pack will answer that question? Might give it a try.
-
Yeah I was thinking about the duck and oatmeal but read the ingredients and they use chicken in it which my lad can't have.
-
Ta for the responses. My lad is currently on the Eukanuba fish and spud. He's doing well on it but the gaseous atmosphere during the night could heat a small city.

Does anyone feed their dog this specific Eagle Pack? How do your dogs go on it? I'm thinking of giving it a try since it has no beef, lamb or chicken in it.

Sick Of Unprofessional Groomers

With my last dog, I went to one salon and specifically gave them instructions not to trim back the fall (the hair) over his eyes. Wheatens are supposed to have a fall over their eyes, obviously in case they run into any loose badgers. Picked him up, no fall. He looked like a schnauzer. I was furious. Useless tits. -
I don't think they're PETA but considering their Statement of Purposes, particularly in regards to animals being property, are they that different?

I was reading something recently about idiopathic vestibular disease which is often caused by inner ear infections. Could be something to look into.

And if you're ever in Geelong, Sally Adams at the North Geelong Vet Clinic, and Simon Mims at the Bannockburn clinic. Both fantastic and go the hard yards to help.

My last dog had a grass seen go through his foot in between the pads. The vet put a poultice on and his foot swelled up, thing burst, no problem we thought. Except that the grass seed had only travelled through there. Three operations and a month later, it was found halfway up his leg. I framed the damned thing.

My dog's been scratching a lot lately. His breeder, who rehomed him with me, said that he had no allergies but since the wattle blossomed he's been scratching a lot and licking around his penis area. There doesn't seem to be any hotspots there.

More likely to escape if hungry or thirsty is the same nonsense as not being trained. Dogs think food whether they've been well-fed and watered or not. I didn't starve my dog and yet he'd bolt if he got the chance.

It would be interesting to know how many dogs die because they were wearing a collar.

Need A Dry Food With No Chicken Or Pork
Sheridan replied to bowser's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Mine's currently on a special diet. No vomiting (exception below) but he has had three bouts of diarrhoea in two months. The vet said that the vast majority of kibble has all types of animal products even if the pack says they don't. I'm feeding him steamed mince turkey and pumpkin as these aren't foods he's had before and turkey isn't a kibble ingredient. He's gobbled it up. This latest bout is after he had a marrowbone last week. The vet thinks he has a food intolerance and has sent off a fecal sample for testing. The vet mentioned that it was possible he had a low-grade IBD. I'm just hoping for a intolerance to fat so he can go back on his mince and supercoat diet. *He did vomit tonight after eating something icky that was in the yard. Can't even let him out to do a wee for cryin' out loud. Since he vomited it up straightaway and otherwise seemed fine, I rang the vet who advised not to feed him and just give him his pink tummy settling medicine and his anti-biotics. I keep getting, "Mum, I'm starving" looks. -
What Are The Big No-no's For Feeding To Dogs?
Sheridan replied to Isabel964's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Eggs whites are good quality protein for dogs with kidney diseases. -
I had a dog with pancreatitis but it was brought on by him being on cortizone for an auto-immune disease.
-
I'm in Canberra at the moment but I assume it's too cold here for ticks???
-
Is there something that shows where the tick areas are? I've only ever lived in tick free zones so I've never had to worry about them on my dogs.

Mooper, I am so sorry to hear that Misty has left you. Her story has left me blubbering, too. Run free, little Misty.

 Good luck at the vets.
