Concrete path all the way around the fenceline.

Tiles in the main living areas (at least, I have the tiles in the lounge thus far - still renovating). I'd always wanted floorboards until we stayed somewhere with them and all I heard was tap tap tap tap tap tap tap of doggy feet. Very irritating, so tiles it is. Carpet in the bedrooms.

They didn't carry it around all day on the beach. It was outside, not inside a building. You can't use that as a logical argument. Of course, she can.

Latest News On Syringomyelia In Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Sheridan replied to bet hargreaves's topic in In The News
Unfortunately, Sheridan, there is no way to predict whether you will get it in your lines or not either. There are now some recommendations about how to breed, but they are recommendations only, and even doing as the recommendations say do not guarantee success. Asals pups were fine at a time when there was no test, and hardly anyone knew what SM was. I am in exactly the same position. My dogs are now 5 generations with no SM - but that doesn't mean I couldn't have a pup with SM. I've actually never seen SM - and I have no reason to lie --- I don't have any pups to sell But you're not denying you could get it in one of your pups unlike some (and this applies to any breed) who live in Denial Land. I don't know how many times I've read 'We don't have to test for <insert disease> because we've never had it.' It's just stupid. -

Ah, the 'I've never had it' excuse. You know, I was told that no wheaten terrier in Australia had ever been diagnosed with the protein wasting disease they can get. And this was right - until one was diagnosed. Just because you've never had it, doesn't mean you won't ever have a case in the future. Just because you don't know anyone whose had a case, doesn't mean you won't in the future. Only the blind dismiss the research. -
Well, we went from an irish terrier to a kerry blue to a wheaten so not much of a change really!

Mini is a jump out of bed girl. Grumpy is a sleep in man, except on weekends when he's up at the crack of dawn. I'm pretty sure he does it to wind me up.
-
If he's drinking and eating, that's excellent. Really good. Fingers crossed that it's just a not-too-serious infection.

What you've posted is the result against the reference range. This means that a dog with healthy kidneys should have results between those references. e.g. Urea should be between 2.5 and 10.00 millimoles per litre. His urea is 52.4 which is substantially higher. Unless Caesar has a protein-wasting kidney disease, this won't be entirely relevant, but I have an explanation of what some of the tests measure on my wheaten site. The results have to be read in combination but to my eye, they're not good. Essentially, a dog will lose around 80 per cent of kidney function before any symptoms show. Caesar's vet should tell you what it all means and what you can do for him. Basically, some kidney issues can be managed with diet but not all. Has the vet advised you about diet?

Miss Mini is currently on it. She prefers it to Proplan, which she turned her dainty nose up at, but she doesn't love it like she does Eagle Pack. -
Cody Is Sick - Geting Better Now :-)

Very pleased to hear he's feeling better. -
My friend got a lagotto after her wheaten died (from PLN). She said the coat was worse to manage than a wheatens!
-
In general, I think that 80% of damage to the kidneys occurs prior to any symptoms showing. Early diagnosis is key so it's good that it's been picked up now.

My Grumpy had an anasthesia aged 14 and came out of it well. He had all the pre-op tests to make sure. I took the week off work, not because of the anaesthesia but because he tore his stitches and was Mr Bucket Head for a week. He couldn't fit in his crate so we camped in the lounge room!

It's like a mini kelpie.

There's no such thing as a poor kerry blue. This little kerry was born with a mismarked coat. My first kerry went a sort of black chocolate colour for a few months until his coat settled down at around two. I've often said to Merijigs that if I could have a blonde kerry I could have the best of wheaten and kerries. She frowns at me ...

No, no, no! Read it again.

Okay, these are wheaten puppies: And this is wheaten puppy: And this is what a kerry puppy should look like:

How very tempted are you?

Not as close.

Closer ...

It is a terrier but not an airedale.
-
Nope, because that would give it away. Have a guess.

Climate change sceptics bang on about global warming as if it's the be all and end all. What part of the words 'climate change' don't you understand?
