Surely, the educated are already going to know where a pet shop puppy is likely to come from. I would have thought a focus on those who don't think about the consequences of getting a pup from a pet shop would be better for animal welfare in the long run.

I saw that one. Unfortunately, it's pick up only.

I didn't see my current or my previous wheaten 'in situ' at all. Funnily enough, they turned out okay. I didn't see them until they arrived and I didn't meet the breeder until he delivered Grumpy to me. I find the increasing insistence from some quarters of seeing where the puppy was born is quite peculiar. It isn't everything about getting a dog nor does it always give an accurate picture of how the pup was raised.

Um Isnt Showing A Desexed Bitch Wrong?

I was at a Royal a couple of years ago and I think the woman near me used an entire bottle of hairspray on her westie. She was spraying for hours. -
Puppysniffer, I am a firm believer that Ricky will tell you when she's ready to leave you. It might take you a while to get the message but you will get it.

Thanks for that info, everyone. The patiolink one seems the best (but shesh, expensive!).

I'm thinking of getting a dog door for my sliding door, the ones that fit into the frame, so the kids can have access to the house over summer (which brings another set of worries but still ...). What's a good brand and where do I buy?

Why is it the police's fault? They did their job. -
I'm confused. How was he tethered in the ute?

If breeders are to be identified, perhaps there should be a code to identify what type of breeder: R = registered, B = backyard, C = commercial.

I think there's another that silvers out - maybe Schnauzers?? Silver poodles are born black. Someone told me ACDs are born white but I've never seen ACD baby puppies so I don't know PF, yes they are born white. OSF, you forgot one: Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. S Slight segue but wheaten terriers are born various shades of sable and go through a number of coat changes from red to white before going wheaten.

I know when I read it I'll be like 'of course' but I just can't think at the moment... You mean, like when I tell you who it is? Or someone else... I remembered Jane Lynch from Glee has a wheaten too. So does Jeff Bridges!

Josh Grobin owns a wheaten (he was on Sunrise the other week, and I'm all like 'he's got a wheaten!". I'm trying to remember who else does. Does Carly Phillips count? She's a successful author Yes, to Grobin (wouldn't know one of his songs if I heard it; the only thing I know about him is that he owns a wheaten). There is a famous actor who also has a wheaten. Hmmm, don't know. I do believe his dog was a champion but can anyone tell me the terrorist's name?
-
That is so badass.... stopping to show his dog Cool, huh?!

What film director made a short film for television starring his own kerry blue terriers? Name two famous people who own wheaten terriers. Name the Irish terrorist who used to show his kerry blue while being hunted by the British.

Someone told me once that he first saw a wheaten terrier in Japan where they are known as 'apartment dogs'.

No The Google list order is based on popularity, or the number of recent hits. So, it can change overnight, or from hour to hour. Must say the site is ill-conceived, poorly constructed and a nightmare to navigate. I did notice some people have added themselves. That's their prerogative. Google ranking is based on a number of things not just popularity. This thread, for instance, because it links to the site would help in the results.

Perhaps before you post this sort of GARBAGE you should read the Forum rules, in particular Rule no 4 Interesting. Does that mean by giving approval to the Queen breeding 'dorgis', other DOLers are breaking the rules?

I recall one time I was in a shop (and thus couldn't rant and swear) and he was on the radio. Woman rang in about a problem with her white boxer. Can't remember what the problem was but he immediately said that a white boxer would be deaf and should have been pts at birth. I don't actually think this poor woman's white boxer was actually deaf but I'm pretty sure that whatever problem the dog had was nothing to do with it being a white boxer.

Grumpy has a number of fatty lipomas but he also has sebaceous cysts as well. At the beginning of the year he had a couple taken off. The vet isn't too worried about them but I do get them checked when we visit.
-
Mini watches television like a hawk and barks at any dogs that come on. Grumpy rarely gets bothered by it anymore; he kind of just gives me this look to which I invariably respond, 'I dunno what she's on about.' The first time she did it, I was laughing too much to tell her off so he did. Got right in her face and gave one very angry bark. She flattened herself. He sat on his dog bed and ignored her after that.
-
Do you want to harpoon me because I carried one of my chickens in a box on my lap to the vets when she had an injured head instead of strapping her into the back seat with her standard grade chicken car harness? For doG's sake, it isn't even any of your business whether I buy a harness now, later, or not at all. How about I look after my poor dog and you look after your poor dog? Does that sound okay to you? I said I'm getting a harness, but Hugo will have to brave those four traumatic car trips until then, but for now, just back off me please. And the lesson learned here is: don't post when you're against the commonsense of the majority.

Cortisone is an immuno-suppressant. It doesn't treat the underlying cause of an illness. -
Wish I could say that I don't understand, but Blind Freddy could see what you're doing. If you can't contribute to the issue without going 'Ad Hominem' then I, for one, am certainly not going to take the same tack as you. Those comments, have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the discussion, "Judge's Behaviour On Video." No, you made an accusation about what people said on this thread; I called you on it and as I figured, you couldn't back it up.
