  1. Grumpy and Mini sometimes sleep up on the bed with me (separately). Mini is better because Grumpy is a bed hog and ends up with all of the queen size bed bar the foot that I end up in.
  2. Italics are used for emphasis. Caps is yelling. It's basic netiquette, something that I'm increasingly thinking should have a compulsory lesson before people are allowed on the Internet. From http://www.hoax-slayer.com/do-not-use-all-capitals.html My highlights and underscore. I didn't think Annie was yelling either, rather than placing emphasis on a few words to push her point/make her point clear. Not when every other phrase is caps, it isn't. I realise that Annie is enthusiastic but whatever message she's trying to convey is getting lost in the shrieking.

  4. Then frankly, I am very surprised that so few bother advertising on your website given they went to the bother of joining in the first place. Part of that would be because you have assumed you know why they joined. Out of 10,000 how many advertise on the Dogs NSW website or their monthly journal? More than 13? And I haven't assumed anything about your company, Steve. I'm asking because I'm curious. Could you enlighten us as to the reasons why people join then?

  6. How many member breeders does the MDBA have?
  7. Do only good people say bad things? Seems a bit contradictory to me. Could you stop shouting at people, please? Aside from the rudeness, it makes me simply not want to get into your posts because it's always so over the top.
  8. How many wheaten and kerry blue terrier breeders are members of the MDBA?
  9. There is a special hell reserved for people who allow their dogs to sleep on their beds ... Seriously, tell the breeder to pull her head in. It's your choice and as long as you control it, I doubt whether he's going to be damaged for life.
  10. That's okay cos it's the Democrats fault. Everything is, those weasly liberal socialist homos.
  11. Thanks so much, Karen. And to pumpitdogs for the photos.
  12. Grumpy did this the other week when it was hot overnight (and yes, I was very worried). Next morning, I just removed a blanket and he's been fine since on warmer nights.
  13. Bumping to ask again how wide the super large/extra large PIM flap is, anyone who has one.
  14. I'm not sure myself to be honest, but hopefully someone else might have an idea. I thought in some breeds that it may be because the coat hasn't matured when they get desexed.
  15. Wish bambi ears were available online. I can only find them in Pet Barn and the mark up is exhorbitant.
  16. When Mini came to live with us I started walking them together and soon gave it up. Grumpy has a beautifully measured pace; Mini powerwalks. Their walking styles simply don't suit being walked together. Now they get separate walks.
  17. Does it depend on when the dog/bitch is desexed in regards to having a crappy coat?
  18. Do we actually know the dogs are in Qld?
  19. Most vet receptionists I've come across have been pretty good. There was the one who objected to my first wheaten climbing over the furniture to find a seat he liked but the other receptionist put her straight.
  20. One day there will be a DOL thread with no lectures contained therein and everyone will be amazed.* *acknowledging, ironically, that I, too, will give lectures at the drop of a hat
  21. Admittedly, Grumpy does do everything to an extreme. That said, all it took was the 15-20 minutes to drive home for him to turn into a spaceman. I actually rang the vet and asked if the drug was meant to turn him insane and they were really vague about it. I can't remember exactly what they said but it wasn't rampaging lunatic dog. That's really interesting, Anissa. Tramal was described to me as a mild painkiller and I thought methadone was a painkiller, too, rather than a sedative.
  22. What the emergency vet told me was that Grumpy might feel a little drowsy on Tramal. There wasn't any mention at the time that it would turn him into an insane spaceman. It also took a lot longer to wear off than 36 hours. It took nearly a week. If a lot of dogs have trouble on them, why are they given?
  23. I don't know anything about pitty bloodlines (though I believe from reading various old threads on DOL that they're often quite as detailed as a pedigree dog). Just wanted to say they look beautiful and very happy.
