hey Sheena, I'm hoping to run some DWD training soon, so if you ever want to come up the hill and join me in dancing, let me know :) Hi Schatzi's Mum...where is "up the hill" ??.....yes I am interested as there is nothing around where I live...nearest to me is the Gold Coast which is about 4 - 5 hours away. Armidale :) you may not recognise the name on here, I'm Rachel with the white shepherds. Pretty new to the DWD deal but Schatzi is at intermediate level. I'm hoping to get more people in the region into the sport as there's not a lot of it for us around here as you know.

We had a pretty good weekend. We were far from our best with the heat and a lot of travel so Schatzi was very flat. Despite that we still managed three quallies, we got out HTM.N title and our first pass in Intermediate Freestyle :) I do look forward to our Freestyle routine actually working as I intended it, had to do some improvising to make up for Schatzi refusing to do the main trick that brought the concept of the routine together.

I did "We will meet again" for our HTM itermediate level and gained a pass and first place in both the AM and PM trial. I didn't wear the same skirt as the last time, cause I had found a lovely green skirt, which was more to the period :) wore the same blouse, but had white gloves (the lace ones got stuck on the flowers) and a white hat this time round. Freestyle I withdrew in the am trial as Tux was being a silly billy and wasn't paying attention. With Meg, we gained her HTM.s title with a lovely score of 140pnts and we did our routine to Loch Lomond. Meg looked a treat with her little tarten ribbon:) So proud of both the two furkids as they are not spring chickens Fantastic results! Congratulations Kallistar! :)

There's the line "girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes". It refers to dresses, but you don't need to wear a dress - what if you wore something like a white shirt with a blue satin sash? Then some tailored pants maybe also in a blue to match the sash? Just the first thing to come to mind clothing wise for that song... :) thanks alot Schatzi, I even have found a boys blue spangle cumberband for Tux to wear.. but if he doesnt like it, I wont put it on Sounds fantastic! :) Enjoy your comp and best of luck!

We had a great weekend, just home now :) Schatzi got a 100% success rate with 4 quallies out of 4 entries. She got two Novice HTM passes, both with 1st places! Then she also got two Novice Freestyle passes with a 3rd and a 4th. That gave her, her Novice Freestyle title! Up to Intermediate with the big kids now Tora did well, no passes for her, but entering her was about building her confidence and she was definitely more confident on the second day and only missed out on a quallie by one mark - so I was happy :) All in all, a great weekend away dancing :D

Thanks Kallistar :) Our comp is at Camp Tailwaggers, looking forward to it :) Schatzi and I have been dancing for about two years now, but have only managed to get to two comps in that time. At our first we got our F/S Starters title, then our second we got out HTM Starters title. She also has one pass in Novice F/S. I'm hoping we can do a few more comps this year, unfortunately we live about 500km in any direction away from dancing comps so it takes a lot of travel to get to one. I'm doing three routines at the upcoming comp. Schatzi is doing Novice F/S to "Don't Hold Back" by the Potbelleez, Novice HTM to "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Glee and then Tora is doing Starters F/S to "You've Got the Love" by Florence + the Machine. My music choices can be a little left of centre, but I like it that way . The last time we did "Don't Hold Back" someone said "Why did you choose that song" and my reasoning was "I wanted something with a slight Spanish feel to it - without it being an obvious music choice".
