Shooting A White And A Black Subject Together

thanks ash - waiting patiently for your return :D -
OK - so I have a white dog and a black dog (they're both greys but that shouldn't confuse the issue ) I generally shoot them seperately, mainly because they don't really run or play together. Sometimes at the beach I might take a pic of them just hangng. So, one white and one black - is there anything I should be doing with exposure to get the best out of the pics? I guess it would be similar for weddings? white bride and dark groom? annieK

today's backlighting efforts! and the man with the green whirlygig -
I have priced the Sigma in Oz the same as the US. Have read lots of reviews on the Sigma v Canon and they all seem to say the same thing - that they are equal in results. Kja - dumb quesiomn - I only have the 400D, and I understand that a non canon lens must come with a canon mount - but does the canon mount fit all canons? Would what ever I buy for the 400D also fit something newer - if/when I do upgrade? At the moment I am trying to keep each individual purchase under the $1000 - OH doesn't flip so loud when he only sees three figures He seemed that the monopod was only two figures. Was thinking should maybe just trade the greys in for something slower?
-
well I bought a monopod during the week (not as big or sturdy as Luke's of course ) wondering about the Sigma 70 - 200 lens I guess I'm trying to experiment to see if it's the camera, the lens or the photographer - in which case I will give up I just want sharper pics than what I get now. Where in the US do you look?
-
not telling but but but .... we might get a bigger discount if we buy two
-
ok then - spit it out - what are WE buying now

Save this in your favourites (camera manual) http://www.lrc.ed.ac.uk/Documentation/Digi...400d_manual.pdf page 71 for manual settings. I think I have it all worked out, but need some sun -

I use my canon kit 75-300 all the time - much much more than the 50mm. I'm mostly photgraphing the greys, so prefer something zoom so photo's are more natural. I would love to have really "good" gear, but the kit lenses are fine for what i need.

This is not uncommon with greyhounds fresh into care. Some of them eat like there is no tomorrow. Is he getting enough to eat? Sometimes feeding several meals a day make them feel a bit fuller and so he won't feel the need to eat so quickly. It will settle down - how long have you had him?

Mmmm Erny - I had been wondering what, if any, seasonal changes (bloody cold at the moment) might mean to his condition.
-
can't wait to see it - it had better be special
-
That one is PERFECT - well done. And er - you can hold the torch in your mouth

Haven't had an update for a while - just wondering how things are going Erny? annieK
