is it just my eyes, or are there little greyhounds dancing on the grass

Been thinking about Patch's ears - have they always been sensitive? Some greys just do not like having their ears touched - a trainer once told me that if they have a "painful tattooing" they can just not want them touched - ever. And of course we know how dramatic they can be at times.

so.... anyone tempted then?

"too Clean" And Skin Problems
anniek replied to sandgrubber's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Could be why greyhounds as a breed are generally very healthy. Racing greys are raised in yards as young pups - only ever receive the C3 vacs. They do however get given steroids and other goodies etc to help recover from injuries quickly once ready for breaking in. -
another vote for the first one! well done

I can't believe how much these guys have grown in a week! Percy Pearl Pia Piper Porter

I know the hound belly crawl so well - you and I would be brilliant in the trenches!

thanks for the kind comments peeps I really have little interest in "shooting" people so it was a real challenge for me. When I got to the brides house early morning, I raced outside and took multiple pics of their doggy, which I formed an instant bond with - unlike the people I had to photograph

I thought they were too good for the 75-300 - so.. spit it out then!

thanks Kirty - they got married in a little church in Frankston, then we went down to the water (in the drizzle and howling wind). The high up place is a bridge that spans the outlet from the creek into the bay at Frankston.

Ah yes - the brides young brother - he didn't want to be there and needed a really good slap across the face but, he did add some character to some of the shots ....

thought I'd be brave and share... i took photo's at a wedding last weekend, a favour for the grooms mum. they were not going to bother with a photographer so i sort of got roped in - anyhoo these are just part of the many proofs, they have not been "worked" as yet not that I will be doing much to them oh and if they look blurred - it's photobucket! taken from the back of the church with my Sigma 70 - 200 fully zoomed no flash with the nify fifty

Phoenix (black male), Pippin (black female,no white) - two other females (def. one brindle - either Pepper or Pia), and one other (either the other brindle or Piper (fawn) or Pearl (black/white chest), but still working out which are most suitable for the homes in question. We're bringning them down to Melbourne after the weekend, so the other people can get to meet them and make a decision. We didn't get to spend that much time with them yesterday, but we do have a reasonable idea of their personalitites. Percy is my favourite - he's a real bugger!

We.ve taken on 8 greyhound puppies - 4 already have homes lined up. They're 6 weeks old, and will be adopted at 10 weeks after vet work is done. Aren't they cute?

It's the path across the street from our house. It's their "nothing walk" - where we walk if we don't go anywhere else
