That would work very well if you see the people in person, like on your walks, good idea. I do still love the quality and look of redbubble calendars but for a person to just buy a single one with postage its somewhere around $44. Yes I know - we have a regular walk once a month at Westerfolds park. Have been taking pics there for a while and suggested a calendar. So took extra pics of those interested, set up the calendar, let them all see it on RB, took the orders and money one month, then took the calendars to the walk the next month. I also put up their pics as prints and they ordered their own cards etc. Worked well.

they don't legally have any dogs in care

and who ever clicks on the cover photo? Not this moron. Good try though. Th point is you stated it was edited to take the artists name out, another said it was theft. If you are going to make accusations then be smart enough to make sure you are saying the right thing or you end up looking pretty stupid. Took you a few hours to come up with the answer though. Told you it would be someone else's fault. I'm psychic now! oh I know. Not that I ever said the pic had been edited, I said the artist's name was cut off. Suppose that could be interpreted as edited. Or not. Don't you have some soaps to watch Rebanne?

that's a bugger - been feeding it to fosters and now is mixed in with TOTW for both Fibbs & Simba. They both like it and eveything seems good but then yours aren't real greyhounds now are they? :) -
She is that's why is this hard to understand that Lucky is still with the rescue being fostered literally 5 minutes from our home. We see her we walk her we take her to the beach. Why is that hard for some to figure out? Because in your short rescue history, honesty, clarity and transparency hasn't been your strong point. I thought you weren't coming back here? I said I would continue to check the threads to set lies straight. See this person was under the impression that lucky was given to another rescue and we were pretending to have lucky that is not the case but no one here would correct it so if there is something that isnt happening that people are saying is happening I will correct it. I have blocked those that are here just to argue because I wont waste time on arguing with them. I corrected it. :D Yes, you did. *cough* no I didn't quote you just so you she could see your response because she's petty enough to have you blocked. I think I hae been blocked too as she doesn't reply to my posts

good grief - that will be interesting - first you have to be a real organisation with enough people to make a committee - would advise an accountant, a lawyer, someone with risk analysis background - then coal face workers as you will want to have your accounts audited, will need to draw up legal documents etc. you will also need an ABN if you plan to apply fro charity status down the track but you won't believe me

Perhaps the dog that was going to go to the carer that now has 'your' dog is dead, as the carer is no longer available to take it
-
yep, wonder what happens to those dogs that have had their places taken? Hopefully it doesn't affect them. pretty sure it will - and another one will die in its place unfortunately - and likely one that has already been temp tested and is a lovely dog, but the trainer won't hold it forever then it can all be blamed on the trainer well yes - although it is the racing owners responsibility they often just leave the dog with the trainer............. and we do have to blame someone eh?

like the group that won't use vets that "profit" from racing greyhounds. Who cares if they treat racing greyhounds, they have breed expertise and sometimes that's what is needed to fix the dog. Ah yes - that old chestnut Using personal politics to withhold suitable vet treatment - awesome!

Let me tell you why (although I very much doubt you will understand). I have worked my arse of for the last 8 years to: 1) rescue greyhounds in an ethical manner as part of GSN - with all the bells & whistles you have been advised about from various people on here but igniored - legalities, insurance, temp testing, appropriate rehoming, financial and other resources and the rest 2) Spent a lot of time this year cleaning up the mess of a good hearted person who jumped in the deep end and started rescuing greyhounds without any forethought, experience or money - does this sound familiar? To rescue from a so called rescuer is suxh a bloody waste of valualble time, because you know that once you have dug them out of the shit, they will do it all over again. Re rescuing starving flea ridden dogs which have also become aggressive due to starvation is heartbreaking. There are things worse than death - I have seen those things. 3) over the last 6 years have been involved in rescuing form hoarders - again good hearted people without the means to support what can only be called an addiction. And finally - I live in the same council as you, and I have spent years ensuring that not only the rangers, but as many residents as possible, see what wonderful animals greyhounds are - and what lovely pets they make. You have undone some of this by being subject to a council complaint, and yes that does make me angry.
-
You are in the same council as me, and unless your property is more than 2 500 sq m, then your limit is 2 dogs. You must have an awesome place.
-
Me too. Well according to facebook, which as you know is gospel for everything  , Ina was saved from a Sydney pound by pound rounds, went to Amy's Angels, who then had fences blown down so pr took 'some greyhounds back' including Ina. Then she came down last Thursday to this person in Melbourne, and then today "We have had an emergency situation happen and are looking to see if anyone without cats has room for a greyhound to stay with them for a bit She is currently in a kennel but at $30 a day its going to be very expensive to keep her there. I am very upset about this situation and can just scream please let me know if you guys know of anyone we are in Victoria." and from there it seems like she has gone to a local rescue group here in Melbourne. And the other one Lucky is 'staying with a friend".
-
and Lucky hasn't yet been desexed.
-
In Vic, you do not have to register foster greyhounds with council - but you do have dog & cat number limits, and foster carers need approval from council if going over "numbers allowed"
-
Poor bloody dogs being moved around again - back and forth in Sydney with pound rounds, then down to Melbourne then moved back and forth - what a shame.
-
Oh how wonderful - Happy Birthday Emma - have been thinking of you both
-
I made a a special calendar this year for the regulars on one of our monthly greyhound walks. They all ordered and paid me upfront, and postage came down to under $2 each and fanstastic calendars - I love red bubble!

Have you had the chips checked on the racing authorities microchip database?

LOL, OK anniek I think I may be able to help you here or give you some hope. I rang VIP foods and spoke to a lady about the product and this is what she said. They hope to have the product in Coles in about 2 months they are negotiating with them (Coles) at the moment about stocking the product. Also they are hoping to get it out in 8Kg bags but it appeared as though the supermarkets prefer it in small bags, could be something to do with space on their shelves I think. Keep your fingers crossed that it may be able to be purchased at another supermarket soon and that may appear in 8 Kg bags. but I guess the size of the bag doesn't really matter, I usually buy 4 at a time, just that if OH is heading to Woolies and I ask him to buy 'some' he only brings back one bag  Guess I just need to train him better. -

My only complaint about it - is that it should come in much bigger bags! -
Absolutely - and if she came down on road transport she will likely have picked up kennel cough regardless of where she is from unfortunatwly
-
It will likely have kennel cough attached (at best) so hope you have a good quaranteen facility set up. ah too late - I see she is in the house on the human bed?
