  2. back to boring doggy pics again Day 12 - foster Phoebe waiting patiently for the cool change this afternoon.
  3. Lordy Lordy - you guys have been so busy "without me" Day 10 - we had a "do" for SIL's 40th birthday - catered with Indian food - yummy on a hot day. Day 11 - all I could grab, as I spent the day processing photo's to make up her birthday photo album. I moved the pc into the dinig room in direct line of one of the cooling vents, as th little study gets too hot. the "things" on screen, are table decorations made from lentils - very spectacular - SIL is going to have them saled, and I might score one to be used as pot holder.
  4. Racing greyhounds are bred for speed and keeness to chase - No regard for things like pannus, which usually develops at an older age than when they're racing.
  5. thanks - this one was taken with the Olympus 4MP point & shoot, as I don't want to take the 400D swimming by accident OH is on leave and I'm trying to take a bit of time from the "rescue business" so have been able to put a bit more time and thought into photography.
  6. day 9 early morning dip broken (foster) phoebe needs water therapy as part of her fractured hock recovery. she swims ok but has to be lifted in
  7. I will try to get a couple of photo's for you - you will be intrigued I promise
  8. We have green tomatoes too, but I thought the flower was prettier
  9. I live on the Peninsula, and I ring the council at least twice a week about people walking dogs offlead, or dogs roaming - what do they do - ZIP. So this new law will never be enforced. And as it is only applies to around shops playgrounds etc, where the dreaded swf's tangle people with their extendables, I am quite happy about it. Or have I missed something?
  10. I have no idea (MIL doesn't speak much English) OH tells me it's Epiphany Day - Feast of Theophany - which celebrates the revelation of God made Man in the person of Jesus Christ.
  11. Mine know that EVERYTHING (in the world) belongs to me If they find things like KFC bones or whatever lying around on our walks, they will pick it up then look at me to see if they are allowed to eat it or do they have to "yuk" (drop it).
  12. Day 6 Called in at the inlaws this arvo - and we both had to be "blessed" nothing beats being sloshed with a piece of wet basil(?) on a warm afternoon!
  13. I bought 2 sigma lenses from them, and that's where I'll be buying my 7D
  14. Well, don't laugh, but sometimes she actually sits on the couch facing the couch back - like she's in the naughty corner
  15. Day 5 I've been a lazy cow today - spent most of it lying on the couch on the deck reading. Was even too lazy to get off my butt to take a photo
  16. today's theme is "NOSE" - couldn't decide so here's two
  17. thank you - she is a foster - would you like her? She is very entertaining
  18. Another thing I've found with greyhounds if they sit (not on command or for a brief moment before lying down but through their own initiative) is a heads up somethings not right with that dog, be it physical or psycological. cheers M-J Nah - mine sit if we're out walking and stop to chat. they sit because they are bored, but can't be bothered to lie down. And our girl often sits on the couch with OH watching tv.
  19. Over there it's called Milk of Magnesia - assume it's the same thing. Never had a need to try it on the dogs - must remember.
