  1. oh thanks for that - I realy enjoyed looking. And nice to know that he can't always shoot stright neither
  2. Just got home from having an "out of lead" experience myself. Walking along the narrow track up the road, suddenly an old lab waddles towards us, followed buy an "older" lady. Oh about 10 metres away. "We'll just walk past quietly" she says. "No" I say "you will put your dog on lead and let us get out of the way, then you can pass" - track is only about a metre wide and I have two big dogs who do not enjoy being rushed at. At this point old lab charges towards us, my old dog is whining behind me, female is pogo-ing to get away. I yell at lab but it keeps coming so I put my leg out as it tries to get behind me and bowl it over then it ran on to the road. "Oh dear" the lady said. "Oh dear inded" I say "if people obeyed the law this sort of shit wouldn't happen" I continue. "But she's old" ..... "Ok " I say "When I ring the ranger to report your offlead dog charging at mine, I will ask if there is an exemption in the law for old dogs".
  3. a quick snap of our Phoebe - taken last night just as she was about to snuggle in for the night (on the couch of course). and GSN foster Maddie - just dropped off at her carers house this afternoon - isn't she gorgeous?
  4. what did you say? I have to do what for it?
  5. I hate to blow your numbers out of the water Erny, but I have contacted quite a few of our adopters (our poor greyhounds are subject to BSL as you know ) Anyhoo, I have at least 24 people committed to writing to ALL mp's But as I am one person I can only vote on your poll once Annie
  6. ok here's one from me (not that I know what I'm doing Bec) I used lightroom, and apart from cropping and taking out the lead clip, I fiddled with the curves - mostly the lights and highlights to give him a "sunny" look and bring out his beautful eyes. Then lens correction for a (hopefully) soft halo :D Bear in mind I've uploaded through photobucket so they do actually look better than what you will see here! Annie
  7. Oh it could be a tie - I'll challenge you
  8. OK will be at the canon stand at 11:00 The trains aren't that regular so 11 is good for me. I think we will still be there at 11:30 I will bring my camera with just the 50mm - like you kirisin, with only that lens I can fit a few other things in the bag - you know - a couple of credit cards
  9. you can't make statements like that without further information!
  10. yep - I'm leaving home about 8:40 - catch the 9:18 from Frangers (lets hope it arrives). Gets in to Flinders St at 10:25, then I'll walk to "wherever" - must check the map again! I'm really nervous this is going to cost me a lot more $'s that I really don't need to spend
  11. oh WOW guys - bloody fantastic - well done!
  12. love love love the beach on a rainy day - we have it all to ourselves! except if there's thunder/lightning
  13. Pretend I said that good lord - I think I did say that, well sorta
  14. Are you driving or going in by train kirislin? I'll catch the train in to Flinders St, so could meet you there if you are training! Happy to be there around 11am, although I'm not that interested in photoshop myself - I have enough trouble finding the time to process in lightroom, and just don't need anymore "timewasters" - not that I can afford it anyway..lol eta there's a train that arrives at Flinders St at 10:25am
  15. To me you need the "subject" very close to the camera, and a big distance between the "subject" and the background?
  16. Isn't it just broken up 4 x 2 biscuits and dust?

  20. Come on, Annie and I have met so we can vouch for each other being human and I think Annie and Bec have met as well. I've finished weekend work for now so I am fairly flexible as to when I go, so Yep Annie, I would love to meet up. I wonder if they'll have Canon lenses on special. hmmmmmm Maybe I should jot down a couple of current prices and see if anything there can better it. I do love a bargain. just checked the "secret money supply" I have enough for my 100 macro! Does Sunday suit? just that it is a huge effort for me to get into the city and don't want to be heading home on the frangers line in the dark on Saturday (if you know what i mean).
  21. I've just registered - Kirislin Bec - do you want to meet? I have emailed oh to see if he wants to come (to be polite) but i doubt he will want to.
  22. this gorgeous big sooky-la-la has a home to go to on the long weekend IF we can get a home check done this coming weekend - anyone?
