  1. thanks but I'm not her mum - she is staying with me for a couple of weeks while her mum is away. The old girl is 14, and "she" is writing a diary for her mum, so I take a pic of her every day
  2. yup - this was right up close to the bars
  3. I'm looking after dear old Katie for a couple of weeks while her mum is on holiday. Katie is 14 - a good age for a greyhound. Here she is just chilling out.
  4. oh my goodness - he looks like a puppy! happy birthday fella
  5. OK well this is really weak as they are just dog shots from the beach this morning, but here's Cowboy shot in three different positions - well his head is
  6. I like the "cheap & nasty" 1.8 - it is my beach lens, and I don't worry about it getting sand blasted! If it was more expensive I might be a bit more careful with it, and not use it so much.
  7. It can also depend on where you get your third dog from. For example if you adopt from the RSPA they notify your council and then the council will "remind" you that your dog must be registered etc.. If it is a third dog they will "remind" you that you need a permit.
  8. WOW - grea pics! the beach is such a wonderful place in winter - for both two and four leggeds
  9. With Underdog I would say yes. they are behaviourists not just "dog trainers". From their website "Clayton South Primary School CLAYTON SOUTH - $150 per dog* This is our biggest venue for dog obedience training and this means we have a varietyof places to work with you and your dog- we have covered areas for hot or cold days as well as large grassed spaces so everyone has plenty of room to work their dog! This venue is also suitable for dogs with aggression, excitability or anxiety based issues with other dogs- contact us for more details regarding how to integrate your reactive or excitable dog into a group obedience class. Agility will also be coming soon to this location"
  10. Hey Bec, Can I suggest Underdog - they have the training at that primary school where we met that day. Tamara & Stuart are the folks who run the rescue workshops and get a big Annie training
  11. I use savacol as suggested by my vet - the one in the white bottle (no alcohol). I wrap a a bit of cloth around my index finger, dip it in, then rub around the gum line. Chlorhexadine is the 100% ingredient - vets use it as a topical disinfectant.
  12. I've posted this in lost & found but thought I would post here too. A recently adopted greyhound "escaped" yesterday - kids lft the door open. Lives at Healesville, so could you keep your eyes and ears open please? Male, black, 5 yo - is cat friendly so shouldn't get into too much mischief. Name is Buzz Please ring Julie on 0431 747 130 if you see or hear anything. Annie
