  1. Maybe you should "rent" both for a weekend and give them both a good workout at the same places and under the same conditions?
  2. I add Vit E mainly because I freeze the raw meat which depletes it.
  3. ah thanks - but I just provided the running greyhound - it is one of our GSN Xmas cards this year - Harminee did the extras
  4. our Phoebe is a REAL reindeer not many people know this ;) but that's why greyhounds sleep for 364 days of the year - they have a VERY busy night to prepare for
  5. put on a raincoat and go to the beach - it's only water you won't melt
  6. Three days should be fine, but just make sure the vet wrap isn't too tight - that's always my worry. ie watch for swelling outside of the vet wrap. Hope Fern picks up soon.
  7. bugger - your pointees are gorgeous. I left my GSN name tag on, because I use my real name on DOL and thought with the greyhound connection people might "know" me. I think it should be mandatory for all DOLers to wear tags. I made a fool of myself when Bundy's mum introduced herself. She came up to me (with her medium sized red dog)and said "Hi I'm Bundy's mum". Now we adopted out a 45kg white greyhound called Bundy a few months ago. I just stared blankly at her for a couple of minutes thinking what the hell are you talking abut that is NOT Bundy.
  8. Mine get a whole raw drumstick once a week. I find them the only bones that floss their canine teeth as they actually "grab" and pull the meat of the bone.
  9. Did I take any pics of Bundy? I have lots of photo's of dogs I don't know. Will send off a disk to Cosmolo so she can email photo's to people.
  10. I think it would have been a lot easier if they kept still Had the 30mm on at the time so I had to sort of bend over them and they kept jumping at me. More time (and brains) and I would have swapped lenses and kept a safe distance So I guess that's the trade off - lazy long snouted greys, or hyper flat faces
  11. Do they belong to a DOLer Bundy's Mum?
  12. I was at the Underdog Christmas party yesterday and met some puggies. A lady was walking towards me, well she was being dragged towards me by three little puggies. They were all dressed up, walking in a row, so before my brain got into gear I asked if I could take some pics of them. Well that was a mistake, because as soon as she stopped walking they just started jumping and spinning. Oh dear........... Anyway, here are the best ones.
  13. Well a big to the Cosmolo family - it was a fantastic day. I had a ball as doggy stylist" for Sherbrook Photography - I was the loony who was jumping up and down with a sqeaker all day - I just hope Santa recoveres enough for his big gig in a few weeks. Met lots of gorgeous dogs and some just as gorgeous DOLers. But Cos - you forgot to take your underdoggies home - you left them in the big paddock - so we left a couple of greys to keep them company
  14. Well we have had rain here on and off all day. I had to pack everything into the car as I think I would probably lose the trailer driving all the way to Clayton - it has never been north of Frankston...lol Hubby will decide if he is coming in the morning - I will see if I can get him up early enough to leave home by 7:30 - another reason I didn't want to bring the trailer as although I am the mistress of reversing it into our bendy driveway I don't want to tow it on the freeway Rain or shine it will be a fantastic day. I know Cosmolo and Mr Cosmolo have worked their butts off for this, and we will all do them proud
  15. My new baglette gets to go on her first outing tomorrow - to the Underdog Xmas party. I have put in my camera, with 30mm attached, 100mm and the 17-70mm. Put some money & drivers licence in the little pursy thing. Popped in my mobile phone, and in the little front bit a couple of aqeekers. Also chucked spare battery, spare card and cleaning stuff in the inside pouch. I'm excited
  16. Ok then - I have just packed the little SUV until it is overflowing - marquee, tables, beds for our fosters. products, promotional stuff blah blah. I have managed to sqeeze in the portable stove, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a few disposable cups. BUT there are not enough supplies for Mrs & Mrs Public - but if DOLers, stall holders, UnderDoggers get desperate like me, then come on over and have a cuppa. Will have the kettle boiled just before "show time" to give everyone a lift. I usually need a hit at the promo's before I put on my cheesy grin for the visitors
  17. Yeah I love the tresure hunt - makes me err think!
  18. "whilst I enjoyed the beach - there's no place like home!" 1.4
  19. That'a ok - I'll bring the portable burner, kettle etc
  20. I'll be just across the way with the greyhounds, and I'm also helping with the pet photo's I think Please come and say Hi.
  21. a VERY important question for you Cosmolo - will there be a coffee stall ?
  22. To me there is a huge differnence between good doggy manners and obedience training. Dealing with greyhounds, I'd like to comment that the majority do not do too well, or enjoy, or need "obedience" training. They are taught basic manners, walk to heel, wait etc during foster care and I believe this is sufficient for the majority of the breed. Greyhounds are hard enough to find homes for without having to pay higher rego fees because they have not been to obedience classes! My two greys are often referred to as the calmest dogs on our local beach, other dog owners love to use them to socialise with their "mad" dogs, yet at obedience classes they were quivering wrecks and would not do anything - not even respond to their names. annieK
  23. Colour me green. You'll have to bring it along to the fund-raiser on Sunday so I can see it. Today I worked in the city so went to have a look in the Crumpler shop, but was more side-tracked by lighting set-ups at Michaels. Saw one I would like but it's just over $600 so I left it there (but I cried on the train going home). Yes I will brng it Sunday - are you doing the pet photo's?
