  1. thanks for the encouragement - I really need to be 'in' the water - I don't have any kiddies to take pics of and am guessing that going to busy beach and taking pics of other peoples kiddies will get me arrested but it is lots of fun :)
  2. so now we know why they are called 'point and shoot' 7am Mebs - sun glare - in water just over ankles, bend down, put camera in water and point up - then click = BIG FAIL I blame the moving rippling water Anyway, lets try again I prefer action shots anyway
  3. i am kinda hooked on the fish eye option - probably bit bit BLAAAAH but I kinda like it - in moderation of course  Fisheye option is in the top menu option in Aperture mode - along with reflection and a few others. It hasn't been warm enough really down here to get under the water, and with big dogs that only go in up to their knees I have no idea how to do it. I can't just lift one up like you can with your littlies!
  4. maybe you can write up some kind of flyer stating pros and cons, and hand out to owners either when they make an appointment (if they come in) or when they pick up their dog. Then let them decide for next time. Unless you are determined to do it or not do it for all.
  5. I have the same one as Huga, and while I have been swimming with it in my pocket, and dropped it in the ocean a few times, I haven't actually 'used' it underwater. But it is lots of fun to take to the beach.
  6. week 3 of Greyhounds - Simba again :D
  7. week 2 of Greyhounds this is Simba - my greyhound x frisbee retrieving water dog :D [/img]

  9. yes come on HAZY the world needs to see pics of Stan & Maddie - and your beautiful new surrounds
  10. Week 1 of Greyhounds This is our old girl Phoebe - she is now 12 now, but still get her zoomie on. She loves the beach - pic taken this morning.
  11. Graham Brown at Officer - he does a lot of show & agility dogs too not just greys
  12. We do the $10 greyhound muscle man visit for necks and backs if they seem to be out.
  13. Now that's just not fair! Wadja mean not fair I did 52 weeks of Cowboy then 52 weeks of Phoebe then took 2 years off - so I iz back. And will do 52 weeks of greyhounds, so Stan & Maddie will likely make a few appearances this year :D
  14. turkey drumsticks, half pig or sheep heads pork ribs, piggy tails
  15. I don't see the point in it. I can remove the superficial tartar from my dogs teeth with my finger nails. If they need a proper dental to clean under the gum line then that is what they need.
  16. Very interesting! I guess it's consistently warmer here in Brisbane though I'm in Vic and only give through the summer months - heartworm IS down here.
  17. Didn't do a thing for my old boy. Metacam was next on the list and worked wonders.
  18. I saw some tonight in the IGA pet section - think it was something like $4.19 a kilo bag eta I used to get from these people My link
  19. A group of us are going to order some for our greyhounds - thinking of the chillybuddy ones. Has anyone bought these? They look similar but don't have the cotton mesh lining. My link oops just realised already on here - sowwy
  20. mine each get half a teaspoon a couple of times a week good all round supplement
  21. My vet will do a quick scale as part of annual check up. But it isn't getting under the gumline where all of the nasty things happen - GA needed to that properly IMO
  22. When we moved, we packed boxes over a few weeks and moved some in the evenings leading up to the move, leaving dog at old ouse. On the big moving day we had dog looked after by a neighbour, then we took him to the new house which of course had all of our and his stuff in it. He just laid down after having a good sniff - no stress at all. When we went back to clean the old house, we took him with us - he walked into the house, saw that it was empty and took off back into the car, and stayed in it all day. So was very easy move.
  23. We hire the whole place - limited to 40 lucky houndies
