In red bubble you can set it so that people cannot "copy" a photo. You can also set it so that there is a water mark across the pic when they enlarge it - it does not come out when printed..lol

Good idea - we need the practice...

I have never used the green box mode - only AV TV and manual. I wonder what focus mode it is using - that could be the problem if it is searching for focus using all of the focus points it will pick up whatever is nearest.

Be careful doing this - I think some of the human forms of this contain xylitol Had me worried but checked the packet and it was not in it.

Mine are all insured as part of home and contents - each item (body / lens) is insured along with its serial number, for at home and elsewhere. I think it cost an extra $60 ish pa. Annie

I suggest whichever works the best. My old boy has degenerative arthritus in his wrist. He can potter around on grass or sand with little effect. A 2 minute walk on concrete and he limps really badly due to the hard surface. This is his history over the past 8 months. Rimadyl (carprophen) - no improvement Weekly x 4 cartrophen injections - no improvement Previcox - no improvement Metacam - improvement immediately. But after about 10 days he got the upset tummy. Since then I am constantly juggling the dose of metacam. His body weight would suggest a full dose of 38ml every 24 hours. He gets by on 20mlm every second or third day. He is nowhere near 100%, but metacam sems to be the best option for him at this point. Annie

One of our adopters is moving to the UK in July - his elderly mother needs help, and you know how it is - these decisions need to be made. They rang me a couple of weeks ago - "of course we're taking him - he's part of our family". So due to their need to go quickly and the hoopla with rabies blah blah, they had two options - kennel the dog here for 2 months before he travels ot have him in quarantine over there for 2 months on arrival. We all chose option 3 - he is coming to stay here for the two month before he can travel - an arrival they can pick hum up and take him stright home. to greyt adopters

It isn't just overseas though is it? Some move just down the road and can't take their pets

As I have the same "problems" as you Kirislin, panning can't happen every day But I am determined to get a couple of good ones eventually, so even after the end of May I will keep coming back in here and post panning shots - if I ever get any worth posting

Erny - have you ever thought of having hair analysis done for Mandela. I'm not sure if it was discussed on your other (long)thread but I have been reading up on it, and a few greyhound trainers are really getting into it - which please me, because they are using herbal remedies on the greys rather than chemicals. Yep been keeping an eye out on ebay as well. So far though dwi have the best price. Digitalrev are interesting - prices between ebay and webstore are totally different. Is HKBNS an ebay store or webstore? Have you had any hassles with paying duty from any of them? I am thinking of splitting my order, 2 lots of postage would be cheaper than the duty. I recently bought a lens from digi rev. DWI was cheaper, but digi turned out to be cheaper due to the free delivery and I also got a three year warranty whereas DWI was only a 1 yr warranty plus postage. I think duty is only payable if one item is more than $1000 not the whole order?

Have bought from DWI - body and a couple of exy lenses. Also from digita rev, and HKBNS. All delivered very quickly - would recomend them all. Have a look see on ebay - you can see who is offering free shiping and extra warranties.

It is a real dilema isn't it Kirislin? I take lots and lots of photo's of greyhounds - on behalf of Greyhound Safety Net. I am a volunteer, and take photo's for the annual Calendar and various Xmas and greeting cards. I put a lot of stuff up on red bubble - as a fundraising site. I get the Xmas cards and calendars professionally typeset and printed - not through red bubble as the idea is to make a prfofit So, I visit foster carers and adopters for "photo shoots" and quite often the adopters want to buy prints from me, and/or want me to take pics of their other dog. I do try the "I am not a professional" line, but hell I am there - with all my gear, usually lying on my belly in a paddock - taking photo's to be "published" and sold for money So of course they don't believe me and persist with it So, what I do is put extra pics (to the particular one I want to use) up on redbubble so they can buy cards etc. And they often tell me that I know greyhounds, which is true - apparently I have a special ability to photograph their souls. If people start throwing figures around - like $100 and above. then I do arrange to "sell" them large prints etc, but I do it for a donation to Greyhound Safety Net. I can take out my expenss for prints etc, but the rescue makes extra money. I only ever email very small files if asked. I am covered by GSN volunteer insurance for public liability, and all my gear is insured by me :D I have done a couple of Christenings for "cousins" whih has been the Christening gift. Do I want to do it professionally for me? I dunno. So, I have been absolutely no help at all have I?

Do you just give as is and let them have a lovely messy time with it? Yes I do - mine get fed outside on the deck, but they take their boney things on to the grass - so no mess! If your dog has a sniff and isn't too keen, either try again not quite so chilled, or shake just a little bit of garlic salt on it. Fresh fish tends to have no smell and so sometimes they aren't that keen on first sniff if fed something new like that.

Yes, I feed them once a week on average.
