  1. sounds yummy - think I will get a small bag for a change from Canidae Salmon grain free
  2. Sunday the 1st I would assume. I like to start on a Sunday, so I have at least part of the weekend to get a hot is I haven't during the week.lol I always thought we ended the week on the Sunday That works out better starting week #1 on Sunday I think when we first started we had a choice when to start - so I picked Sunday :D maybe I cheated and so none of my pics count
  3. Tried it on my two greys - one wouldn't eat it and the other vacuums her food and gagged on it as the kibble is tiny tiny in size. Also tried it on a foster - same problem with the gagging. Mostly feed raw, but when I do give them kibble I want something of a size they can have a bit of a crunch on to slow them down. We have our retired greyhound on BH. When he was racing he was fed a diet consisting of 600g of meat and about 1 1/2 cups of kibble. He is now only fed BH kibble which is soaked before being fed. Originally we started him off on BH Adult but he is now on BH Puppy. The only reason for feeding him Puppy is we can feed him less and still maintain his weight. Granted the kibble is small in size but he has never had any problems with gagging. His coat looks better now than it ever has. That's great that it works for him. I don't like to soak kibble though - I have enough trouble with their teeth without feeding them soft food..lol And I would never feed a kibble only diet as I believe in feeding them raw meat & bones as their primary diet. ets for spelling
  4. Week 52 of Cowboy - end of year zoomie Can't believe we made it right through - it was difficult at times due to his getting old and not doing much at times, but we got there. A big and to everyone else who made it. I have really enjoyed looking at the wonderful pics each week. Looking forward to 2012.

  7. They've never "had" to go into quaratine - but they could not enter until 6 moths after a satisfactory rabies titre test. so they could stay in Oz for that time and go straight in once the 6 months was up.
  8. I will participate with 52 weeks of Greyhounds again. I photograph a lot of them due to my rescue associations, and it is good to get lots of pics of the breed onto a forum like DOL. I don't do flickr.
  9. I will be in with Phoebe this year - but I don't do flickr
  10. Week 51 of Greyhounds I went up to Ballarat last week with my friend and we took 15 yo Katie to visit her ex-mum who is in a nursing home there. After a big day, katie (front) and Nina (black hiding in the grass on the faraway side) just crashed Week 52 of Greyhounds - a grouP of us met up at the lang lang coursing track today - this is Gemma flying. THAT'S IT - AL DONE TO EVERYONE - I CAN'T BELIEVE IT -
  11. Whilst I have the canon 50mm 1.8 my every day lenses are the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the Sigma 17-70. The 50m is just to tight for my big greyhounds noggins for close ups indoors so need the 30mm
  12. I think the back beaches are pretty much onlead, and during daylight savings, before 9am and after 7pm. There is a very small beach at Mornington that is offlead all year round. It is south of the pier/harbour.
  13. mmmmmm interesting just maybe ...... the crazy sighthound people have similar opinions knowledge and experiences, because they tend to be more responsible owners / breeders / rescuers because of the type of dogs they own / breed / rescue?
  14. Well trained/behaved dogs are very much the exception. But then I'm one of those greyhound people so what would I know
  15. Week 50 of Cowboy sums it all up nicely I think
  16. Week 50 of Greyhounds I set up a "Santa Studio" at a recent GAP greyhound walk/BBQ. Here's my favourite model - Bill
  17. I have one of those without the OS - marvellous!
  18. My two greys are excellent "alert" dogs. Phoebe will bark at anything not quite right outside - like the neighbours about to have their car broken into. If I don't investigate she will run to me and bark at me until I do, which is fantastic. We often have the front door open but fly screen/security door locked. They will both wag and welcome anyone they know, but bark at anyone they don't know that comes through out front gate and walks up the path to the front door. Once I give the ok they will wag and welcome. It is great for getting rid of doorknockers as until I give "the word" they act quite unfriendly which is exactly what I want.
  19. Week 49 of Cowboy - at the Xmas party on Sunday Mr "I think I'll just stay in the car and pretend I'm not here"
  20. Week 49 of Greyhounds spoilt by choice this week as we had our Xmas party Sunday. So here is one of many dozens of action shots!
