I dont know about receiving... but I usually start off with an Email, mostly because I hate cold calling and I also like to ask when is a good time to call. Its easier for me to get out what I want to say initially in an email.. then i feel better about calling.

I have had it done for two dogs, One who was very old and had innoperable cancer. She was my grandads dog... I woudl have been 17 or something.. even my own mother woudlnt stay in the room. I woudlnt let her go alone so I stayed. Second one was Russell, ... for some reason I still remember the feeling of him becoming 'dead weight' in my arms more than anything and that still hurts alot... but I dont think i could leave them alone with a vet to have it done. I had them both cremated, like all of my dogs.

Radical Society of Pr**ks, C***ts & A****les. The miniscule amount of good this organisation does is once again ripped up burnt and stepped on. If I where that woman I would be suing them for the heartache they caused. And Im pretty sure that impropper disposal of a large animal is also an offense maybe they should answer for that too. Just Tragic. RIP Brandy

Yes QLD better bl**dy wake up and smell the common sense or i might have to move back to NSW!

Well If the legislation insists on removing dogs from every possible companion situation... who do i find to complain about not wanting noisy, filty, snotty nosed and fingered and god knows what else children from being in these areas? Least id never allow my dog to stand next to someones table and 'stare' at them for no bloody reason. Its such a shame because I really like QLD appart from this problem... the annoying thing is the way they say no dogs within 5metres of food areas, or the enterence to food places... how the heck are you surposed to frikking walk anywhere? the footpaths arent 5metres wide. And the not being able to have dogs in parks... how many kids do you see out in parks? I mean really.... they are all too busy inside with their xboxes and computers.... let the outdoors be enjoyed by responsible pet owners i say. and that does go for cafe's... they should have a dog.. and non dog section to cater for everyone inlcuding those who woudl rather not sit next to a dog.

I've always had a thing about Frontline never liked it or trusted it. The vet made dad buy a 6 pack of it cos he didnt know better... told him to take it back... >_> SO to me it just seems like one of those things that some vets are pushed to sell. Been using Revolution + Preventic Tick Collar and have had no fleas, earmites, ticks or any nasties. To me its a combo I trust... and since even "Dog" Revolution is safe for Cats I find it to be a trust worthy product. The lady who bred Brutus spilt some front line on her kitchen lino... as it chewed holes in it she dicided she woudlnt be putting it on the dogs anymore!

Definatly another nail in the coffin of dog ownership. Now lets watch as they slowly begin to attack the breeds whos... ears are too long, whos legs are too short, whose faces are to flat, whos fur/hair grows too long (sucks to be 'you' DD breeders.... not even your million $$ mutts will be safe.) Hmm I predict that it will be Dachshunds, Basset Hounds, Frenchies & English Bulldogs next to be snuck onto the chopping block.... And so dog owner ship will slowly fall away from around us and only when there are barely any dogs left will somone speak up and go "Why??" - Course the only glimmer of hope that will save dog ownership in anyform is commercialism.... If someone besides the rspca is going to loose money... then there will be an outcry. very sad...

Yes but the thought of them stupidly following the dog arround waiting for it to poop is infinitly funnier, strnagly smart enoguh to run a jewlery store but not smart enough to think of that.

http://bigpondnews.com/articles/OddSpot/20...ond_440560.html A dog with very expensive taste caused panic for the owners of a US jewellery shop when it swallowed a three carrot diamond worth more than $20,000. ... Brings a whole new meaning to "If it hits the ground, it belongs to the Hound"

I woudlnt be giving in. I wont accept these stupid idiodic bl**dy Lazy names. And My answer for these people who want to 'agrue' and 'educate' me on their CROSS BREED is - One Make them say it "why is it called a blablaoodle?" when they have to answer say... so it IS A CROSSBREED. And it will continue to be a Cross Breed.. No amount of whip up a name will fix that. Till you have Hundreds and hundreds and Hundreds of YEARS of "carbon copy" perfection to a standard... its STILL a Crossbreed. "Never Give Up! Never Surrender!"

Good poll My Next Dog, will be a puppy (must...wait...4...months... *twitch*) and from a Registered Breeder who just happens to be registered on DOL. As was my last Dog, And Im quite sure any dog I get in the future will continue to be from registered breeders. I do find DOL to be the best stepping stone for finding a good registered breeder. If the breeders are on DOL thats great, But I tend to choose my breeders based mostly on ethics. Though DOL does make breeders easy to find. Before I think I found registered breeders by going to shows like the Sydney Royal or Pet Expo etc.

So very very sorry it could not be a happy ending, Deepest sympathies for the loss of your Granddad

Indestructable Ideas For Watering The Dog
Maxiewolf replied to Tilly's topic in General Dog Discussion
Talk about bloody persistant... I would be sticking with the concrete water trough idea... and fill in the holes with cement. Pain in the rear end to clean but if you keep it in the shade it will keep the aglae down anyways. Concrete Dog Water Troughs - These ones are at Dalby, maybe someone could bring one to brissy for you? -
Thank goodness the Neighbours saw it, videoed it for evidence and reported it insead of just turning a blind eye like so many do. What is WRONG with people.... that poor.. poor dog.. you could see he was still going over to that monster and trying to please... dispite what was being done to him

If you can be a cold hearted phycopath and kill puppies.... then you can be a cold hearted phycopath and kill a baby. In addition to all that she got (which wasnt very bloody much) she should also be declared and unfit mother and have her child/en taken from her. No matter how desperate your situation is NOTHING is justification for what that woman did. NOTHING. Hell If the vet woudlnt have taken them and she was that desperate she should have just left them at the vets. they cant force her to take them with her. They cant run out to her car and put the pups back in the window or something. At the worst they would have been PTS humanely instead of suffering the horrible cruel trauma they did. OR Take them to the Pound/RSPCA they obviously cant be too far away if she has had run ins with them before. Dreadful.. Horrible... Sick... Woman. Shoudlnt be allowed to keep a houseplant. Edit: Just read the defensive comment from the friend. So What. A small income, a Baby, a Bomb of a car etc etc... Does not give you the right to be a cruel person. I coudlnt find $2500 Right now this minute if my life depended on it. And im sure alot of other people coudlnt either. She didnt learn her 'lesson' from when the dog had pups last time. If she had called the RSPCA or a Shelter with her 'desperate' situation someone would have helped. Not just try the vets and give up and toss them out. If a dog can die within Minutes in a hot car.... a little under an hour in a big still bin is just as bad. Doesnt matter what kind of 'bag' they where in. As it was they werent found in time to save them all. I reinterate - Shoudlnt be allowed to keep a houseplant.
