Hi Im no expert, but we take Aly fishing and she loves to taste the fish we catch she hasnt ever had problems with the bones, but these where king george whiting.I'm thinking raw fish bones are not like cooked fish. Like I said I'm no expert. Aly just loves a trip to the beach she loves to follow the kids out in the water and gets dumps,,,, such a funny sight.

Well back from the vets, what a nice change to have a Dr that talks and doesnt rush you out, she did a skin scraping of Aly no mites,, sigh of releif,No fleas, she has never had a flea (She isnt a dog!) lol Tanya (vet) said it proberly a really bad reaction to the grass from yesterday, she has given me antihistamine for her and Ilium Neocourt to help the inflamation and it is a antibiotic, so fingers crossed things start to see the up side again. She did mention trying her on Kangaroo meat and I think she said potato? maybe was rice cant sem to remember... Belinda

Hi everyone, havent been in here for so long. But My staffy Aly is losing her fur quite a bit actualy,Ive just bathed her and quite a lot has come out. Staffys dont seem to drop much normaly but this to me is a bit to much. She does has skin alergies and is on macrolone tablets, she was also on antihistamine tablets but didnt seem to do too much and my ver took her off them. She is on eukanuba buscuits the senstive skin ones. Also once or twice a week she gets a tin of sardines,,,,she loves fish!!!! Hope someone out there will have some suggestions, I go to the ver they say try this do that and nothing really hlps it does start to add up to a lot of money, not that I mind to much as she is very dear to me, very spoilt. 7 years old.

Aly is back on the Macrolone tablets and she is also on Claratyne which doesnt seem to be doing much she also has a fish oil tablet in the mornings.

Thanks guys I went and bought her a kong ball she hasnt had it yet but she got a treat of a marrow bone, shes been happily chomping on that so hope that stops those hunger pains.
-
It seems to be the grasses. Same thing happens every year her parents are the same and brother and sisters, even tho they dont all live here lol,,lol. I keep in contact with the guy we bought her off, so Id say its some kind of family thing. Last week my vet gave me a tube of ResiSOOTHE to put on her tummy and itcy spots that does help the rubbing she does on the floor or comando crawls out side....
-
I sometimes give her those big marrow bones, but few people and the vet say the marrow is fattening but Im thinking i might try to scrape out that marrow before I give it to her. What kinda meaty bones if they too small she will not chew it up and she swallows big chunks and then when she has to go potty its a bit of a chore

HI Aly is back on her medication for itchy skin and the tablets make her extremely hungry and thirsty, she doesnt whinge cos she is thirsty as she can drink as much as she likes. Its just the food that she wants its driving me nuts, Ive grated a carrot to put into her biscuits but any other suggestions would be just wonderful, she is over weight so have to be careful its all non fattening. Thanks for your help Alys mum, Belinda

Why not mince the food (MEATS) yourself? Use kitchen Wizz but if too fine,, you can buy the old fashioned mincers from kitchen need shops not sure on their price but in the long run I'm sure it would pay for itself.
