I am so sorry for your loss Bella, we will be thinking of you and your family in the days to come. RIP Asher

I tried an infin8 on my grey and found it kept riding up into his eyes because there is no stop between nose and eyes to encourage it to stay in the right place (yes it was fitted correctly). I have seen it work successfully on other breeds, it just didn't seem right for the angles of a greys head.

I had my greyhound and whippet both on advance through the vital puppy and growth periods and I really liked it and felt it worked well for them. Before I settled on advance I tried science diet and RC, the whippet wouldn't eat either. She went off Eukanuba after a couple of weeks, which I was told was common by the lady at the food shop because it is a bit oily. I also really really liked pro plan, the advance was just better value for money for us. If they are doing well on advance then stick to it - as people say the best food for your dog is the one the dog does best on.

I use a pro stop harness for my greyhound. He was never a huge puller, he is just a big boy with a big passion for cats, and there are dozens running around here. For safetys sake I have to be able to hold him if he gets excited enough to try to lunge or take off. The harness seems to have drilled in the walking nicely principle and he walks beautifully on a martingale as well. I tried an infin8 but they just don't work on the greyhound head, there is no bridge to stop it riding straight into their eyes.

I don't know if he is a gsd person as such, I just know he does alot of leather work for GSD people for shows. I have an e mail address- I liked the look of a friends lead so I got his address, e mailed what I wanted then he made it and posted it to me. Did a great job too, it would have been very difficult to make. PM me if you want contact details.

I got one custom made by a guy who makes leather GSD show leads. I looked around a quite bit and had no luck- I was specifically after one with a buckle on the martingale loop.

Could Lure Coursing Cause Problems?
Lozzie replied to Ausvarg FL's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Lure coursing significantly increased drive in one of my dogs and not the other. I guess it depends on the dog. -
I use the fidos puppy and kitten shampoo and the nice smell stays for a few days.
-
The next lure coursing is at KCC Park on March 18 from 4pm. Info here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/ashtar1/lco...coursedates.htm

He looks fine to me too. I saw a fit, muscly, defined lab the other day- I had to look twice, he was stunning! I considered stopping the car and complimenting the owner but decded against it TO- I know how you feel You have no idea how many dirty looks and comments I get about not feeding my dog enough- Its a greyhound! They are supposed to be that way!

Oooh! Can I come tooooo? -
What are the fences like? I'll be there.

Mine used to do that just as a 'look at me and fuss over me' type of thing They also used to do it when tired- especially Ziggy. When he was just a baby I always used to pop him in his crate for a nap when he whined like that. Sort of like a kid whinging and fighting sleep

I have used Lilydale before and never had a problem with it. I now get fperformance mix from pet chow- it already has the veg pulped through it and isn't frozen so its easier to bag, less fuss and about the same price.

I would try product b first- my two need the higher fat and protein, plus what tramissa said about the 3 rice ingredients. 1.Would you feel that paying 4 times as much for one over the other is justified and if so which one. ? No- I like B better than A but would trial A first if it was 1/4 of the price. 2.Would you choose to try the most expensive or the cheapest first ? It depends- when I first got Coco I trialled Supercoat because I had heard it was decent and she didn't do any good on it. Thats the cheapest it would go for me. If, say, Food A or B was pal or chum I wouldn't even look at it (no set recipe and crap quality ingredients etc) 3. Do you choose your dog food based on something else? I look at reputation, then ingredients then price. If all are satisfactory then I will trial my dogs on it and see how they both go.

would you consider getting rid of the dry food at dinner?
-
Imy- you might like to try roo meat- its fairly easy to get your hands on and is much leaner than beef.

Another party pooper here! They are greyhounds, they are not built to carry excess weight and even though some people don't like the skinny look, that is the way they are (ideally). Your dogs are gorgeous Imy, but they are fat
