yes you missed the best conference I have ever been to. Some wonderful events occured for me during the last 6 days. My approach to training has evolved further and I'm pleased to know that what I was thinking about was definately on the right track. As I was walking Steve back to his hotel room most evenings I was fortunate to have some facinating conversations. Not to mention I have it on video to reference for ever!!! Sorry guys.. would love to say its up for grabs..but its not. Many of the presenters have requested that it not be available for public use and unless they change their mind i'll honour it. have to add a brag to...I was very fortunate to have Steve come to my house while we were waiting to go to Sydney...Got to hang out, play with the dogs and talk about computers and theories. That man is a very deep thinker and researches everything and anything. I only have a few people who I find inspiring in Dog Training and he's at the top of my list every since I read his first book. What a great honour it was to meet Steven Lindsay and to now have him as a friend.

Not long to go now people. If you have been thinking about it, dont delay any longer as there is 2 weeks left until the conference starts.

Applied Dog Behaviour Books
Herr Rottweiler replied to Kynan's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Thanks Erny! Yep I am looking for some heavier reading I am fascinated by dog psychology and behaviour just for my own personal interest. Not planning on a career change just yet Though I did look at doing the NDTF course but couldn't do the electives I wanted to do externally so decided it wasn't worth it. Do courses use these volumes as references? you do know he's doing a 1 off seminar in Sydney dont you? -
Thats a shame Jess! For Dog trainers, this will be the one event not to miss

I have just viewed a draft of the program for the NDTF national conference. As you all know Steve Lindsay is the main speaker and I can confirm that he wil be conducting about 60 - 70% of the presentations (virtually everything on the third day). The other speakers include three of Australias leading behavourists; Robert Holmes Paul McGreevy Joanne Righetti In addition there is a great presentation from NSW corective services K9 unit (on detecting mobile phone...would you believe?) Steve Austin who needs no introduction Even without Steve Lindsay this would be the best list of presenters EVER at a conference in Australia! I really believe if you miss this one you will look back on it and regret it. We will most likely never see this man in Australia again. I can tell you for sure that program will be on the NDTF website Tuesday 23.02.2010 as i have been hounding them myself to get it done. Keep checking in on the site NDTF CONFERENCE

Annual Statement Of Government Intentions
Herr Rottweiler replied to Herr Rottweiler's topic in General Dog Discussion
The most unfortunate thing for Victorians albeit Australians is that we have sucumb to a Tyranny of wolves that dress in sheeps clothing. There are so many laws in this state that its impossible to live a full life life without at least breaking one a day. "An unjust law is itself a species of violence. Arrest for its breach is more so". Ghandi -

Survey For Dangerous Dog Legislation On Vic Dpi
Herr Rottweiler replied to gundoglover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Honestly, I found the survey to be quite repugnant. Although I think its great that we get to have say...how far does that really stretch? I agree with you Erny about the questions being loaded...i just found the whole survey that way! I hope as many people that can will make the time to fill this survey out. -
