  4. Thank you everyone for all your kind words. Narelle, the poem is beautiful. We are slowly getting used to idea of not having Zana around, my son has stopped crying him self to sleep at night now. It just great having the wonderful people here on DOL who you can talk to and understand what you are going through, its been such a great help
  5. Zana our gorgeous old girl went to the bridge on Thursday 15th November at 1 am. Zana was my first obedience dog, we learned all about obedience, agility and flyball together, she gained her Companion Dog, Companion Dog Excellent, Agility Dog and Flyball Dog titles in the first few years of her life. Zana loved coming with me when I went riding on my horse through the bush, loved to go for a swim and adored tennis balls. Zana shared the special moments with us of the birth of our two children; she was always so gentle with them as babies and so tolerant of them when they were toddlers. Zana was the sort of Shepherd that everyone loved, she was so laid back and loved everyone in return. Rest In Peace Old Girl, it was an honour having you in our lives for 12 years. You can catch up with your old mate Marco now; I hope there is an abundance in tennis balls for you to play with where you are. You are sadly missed by us all lovely girl, especially your little mate Blair.
  6. Yes the Tibbie is a great little dog, we are new owners of a Tibetan Spaniel called Tashi, he is just gorgeous and we couldn't be happier with him, have a look at the Tibetan thread if you want some more info and you can see pic's of some gorgeous Tibbies.
  7. Just rang the lady and apparently the pup has worked it out now, she is coping a lot easier on the plastered leg and is going to the toilet
  8. I wouldn't be going out. She's only a baby. Just me, I couldn't leave a young one alone like that 'cause they can get into troubles that no one can predict or guess. Gawd she must be so beautiful, a rotti puppy. Good on the rescuers for helping her. Sorry I have no ideas about pain killers and went OT. The story sound a bit sus to me. WhiteEagle, why does the story sound sus? I am merely relaying the story told to me over the phone.
  9. Yes I wondered the same, that the pup got her leg caught in the "U" bend part behind the toilet. No I wouldn't leave a pup in the bathroom if I had to go out, I would use the crate, but I guess these people didn't know better.
  10. The Plaster went on about 1am on Saturday, I think she said she only got the pup the day before the pup broke its leg. The pup is in a play pen at the moment.
  11. We had a call from a lady today who has adopted an 11 week old Rottweiler puppy from a rescue group, they left the puppy in the bathroom when they went out for the evening and when they came home the puppy had broken her back leg, so they took her to to the vet and she has it in plaster now. They rang because they are now having problems with the puppy not wanting to go to the toilet, when they take her outside she wont go, she will finally go ages after they bring her back inside when she can no longer hold on. She said the vet gave her pain killers but maybe they are wearing off now as the pup is whining, she rang the vet today to ask them what to do about her not wanting to go to the toilet and they just told her to keep persisting. I told her to ring her vet again tomorrow as maybe she needs more pain killers? If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

  17. Just wondering if any of you wonderfully talent people might be bored and would be able to tidy this pic of Elka up for me, I want to enlarge it to a 10 x 8 inch and frame it, I noticed she has a muddy nose and was wondering if that can be "cleaned" and also there is a concrete pathway towards the bottom that is distracting, there is a tin fence in the background to it would be nice if that wasn't there to, thank you in advance
