  1. interesting post on ANKC Registered (Dog) Breeders Australia. if you want to look up all of it. on facebook Close Timeline Photos Options Send in Messenger Like CommentShare Protect The Harvest Like This Page · 17 May · In case you missed it...Animal Rights Groups – Who They Really Are National Animal Rights Conference The 2018 Animal Rights Conference was held the weekend of June 28th – July 1st in Los Angeles, California. The event brought together animal rights extremists, vegans, and vegetarians from all walks of life to “expose animal abuses for food, research, amusement, fashion and more.” The event washosted by the lesser known animal rights group Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM). The True Agenda of Animal Rights Organizations Exposed – It is Not About Animal Welfare The groups attending the conference confessed that their movement is not about animal welfare, like they have led people to believe. It was made clear to attendees, that the true agenda is about ending animal industries and ownership. This was exemplified by a quote from the Animal Agriculture Alliance report from The Save Movement says: "Animal rights is different from animal welfare. It's not about better cages; it's about empty cages”. Hypocrisy on the Agenda In addition to exposing their true goals of ending animal ownership and human-animal interaction, hypocrisy was also on their agenda. These groups claim to be fighting for the respect of animals, yet they do not treat other humans with respect. The animal rights industry is fraught with claims of sexual harassment. This is well evidenced by the recent resignation of past HSUS CEO , under the cloud of sexual harassment., former HSUS Vice President also resigned under similar accusations. Even the host organization of the National Animal Rights conference is marred, , of FARM has been accused of turning a cold shoulder to sexual harassment claims within his own organization. Conference Attendees We outline “people to watch” in the paragraphs below because it is important to become familiar with who is representing each organization that attended the conference. We also make sure to note which people have been previously associated with other animal rights groups. As people move between the different organizations it allows their message to solidify and become more and more extreme. We have previously shared the Animal Agriculture Alliance’s “Activist Web” which can be found on our website or theirs, it shows just how closely tied all of the animal rights and environmental groups truly are Other Groups in Attendance Besides the more “notable” groups that we highlighted above, there were 100 other animal rights groups in attendance at the conference. Some include: The Humane League, The Good Food Institute, The Save Movement, and Vegan Outreach. These groups are working toward similar goals, but each may have a specific cause that it is more closely tied – for example animals used in research, ending animal agriculture or working on animal rights internationally. Conference Theme – Animal Liberation The Animal Agriculture Alliance report states that the main theme of the conference was “Animal Liberation” rather than animal welfare. Simone Reyes of Social Compassion praised the Direct Action Everywhere raid on farmers in Northern California saying, "Our movement must adopt all avenues, the methodical and radical." This quote exemplifies the thought process that overlooks the animal’s actual well-being over the action of “freeing” them. Resources: 1. 2. alleged hearsay that actual breeder members might be interested to know, just in case their "new friend' looks remarkably like her. come to think of it, anyone who tells a complete stranger how many dogs they have and their ages is asking for trouble anyway... that's also what thieves are looking to know too. anyway, everyone needs to know they have to have fire extinguishers and an evacuation plan, complete with your vets name address and phone contact printed and placed in public view or your ass is grass now...
  3. prime example of inbred as another suggested Yellow crusted robin just couldnt help myself....such a cute photo
  4. Just keeps getting better and better. 16 May at 13:28 · No more pig dogs in the ACT. About This Website THELAND.COM.AU Don't let the dog out: $4000 fine in the ACT https://www.theland.com.au/story/6125092/dont-let-the-dog-out-4000-fine-in-the-act/?cs=4951&fbclid=IwAR2wxQSWvzLK7lqSWDVKRpfbbbHmNR-ndXReoph4YCPHze0R-wJ3KD0_gDQ Comments L S Lol so no more trips to the vet with your pet otherwise its a 16000 fine. Sorry fluffy that you have a broken leg, you will just have to suffer because i cannot afford to cause you stress L S This will mean no pounds can operate legally either because that causes alot of stress on the animals kept in cages, just have to let them go free. R Is this actually real? D W Courtesy of the rspca Bec "It says an animal is sentient if "it is capable of being aware of its surroundings, its relationships with other animals and humans, and of sensations in its own body, including pain, hunger, heat or cold." Yet somehow a kangaroo isn't sentient? ah yes, cant let them in, they are to be culled.
  5. there you are snook a nice inbred bird for you Never heard of Save the Harvest group before... The very message our ANKC's are failing to get across..... our dogs have been doing the same for centuries Protect The Harvest 13 hrs · Animals Play a Meaningful Role In Our Lives “Bravo has never given up on me – even when I’ve given up on myself. 6. I use Sydney Uni Vet clinic and Georgina Childs is awesome. uses the same machine as the childrens hospital uses far far more sensative than the cheaper model Strange place though, great pricing for the BAER hearing tests but dont get you puppies vaccinated there over a hundred and fourty per pup? no discount for litters
  7. so many stories about people whose dogs have eaten meat with pins or glass or poison in it... so you have the right idea and yep staffies like labradors are food vacuums maybe have a dog coat on with im a rubbish guts, or im a food guts.... get em laughing if nothing else maybe, 'I'm a garbage guts" perhaps? '
  8. In what part of ethical breeder, did you find the word rescuer? read slowly This is a purebred dog forum This purebred dog forum has a breeders page....eg https://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/puppies.asp so considering how sure so many on this thread are that Flick71 who was or is, a registered breeder of another breed is incapable of vetting any potential homes for these puppies. Will the new ethical fashion in future to be that these breeders should be sending all these puppies they do not keep and are presently advertising for sale, send them instead to you rescue people here to ensure they are "ethically" rehomed? How long before you decide no breeder can be trusted to decide a puppys future home either? the destruction of the ankc from within is pretty noticeable in case you haven't caught on yet.. Plenty of others have. Including Karen Hedberg, or she would not have moved that motion to prevent the mandatory dna parentage verification of all puppies before they can be registered in NSW. her reasons make good reading... and she is totally right. Just home from a wonderful day at Guide dogs for the Blind. the atmosphere was glorious. over a hundred people all enjoying the day and their puppies they are growing out to become guide dogs in training... not a single one is ankc registered. no one was worried about who was there that was unethical. NOT ONE DOG there was desexed and they aged from three to ten months, some looked a bit older but didnt ask, know my cousins puppy is ten months.... Why arent they desexed? Because they want them to grow normally so they will have the best life and health expectancy possible. Funny that. My cousin now has their first one they puppy walked permanently, so they are still puppy raising oncoming generation as well. as she topped her classes and was deemed to be brood bitch material so bred from instead to produce the next generation of potential guide dogs.... they look to the future. no dead end kennel here. They actually wait to find out how the puppies mature to decide who will contribute to the next generation. not decide before 8 weeks and neuter or vasectomy every other one. it is impossible to be accurate at 8 weeks.
  9. So to be ethical should the breeder's be sending any puppies they are not keeping for themselves surrender them to yellow girl or other rescues in their state instead of advertising them on the home page? So they don't risk being hoodwinked either?
  10. My vet used to be dead against the commercial puppy farms, now he has come to the conclusion that they are going to be the only way in the future people will be able to source a pet now the ankc's members are producing less and less every year.
  11. Don't worry, think the op has got the message loud and clear.... be surprised if you ever hear from him or her again. why do so many of you have such a low opinion of your own species? You know no matter how lovable your dog is, if the opportunity arised, it can and will kill without compunction. be it a lizard, rat, rabbit or even another dog and run to you wagging its tail... with not a clue that is not permissible for a human to do that, but it is natural instinct for a dog. no matter how often you call it a fur child, that is the talk of Peta and animal rights, not a person who knows and still loves dogs for what they really are.. they have not a clue about our laws and what constitutes good manners? You have to train them what is not acceptable and what is..... they are not evil..... they live by their instincts.... yep they are born with a canine set of rules Our dogs havnt a clue our politicians felt to need to write laws that if your dog kills it will be put down just like any human murderer was once, even many innocents.... a human can protest innocence and still be convicted ....so what chance does a dog have? ..... its perfectly normal for a a dog not brought up with birds, rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, chooks, ducks, geese, sheep, alpacas and goats, even cattle to chase and maul them, even to kill them. They have no concept this is wrong, It is our job to teach them, or keep them from gaining the opportunity. The dog is not the criminal, the owners that do not prevent them the opportunity is the criminal... Some owners do not even see their dog has attitude problems even to people, or they and whoever they may attack would not end up being mauled, some to death as noted in the News, forum this morning. quite a few seem to have mental issues towards their fellow humans.. maybe stay clear of forums and keep to hugging your pets, instead of attributing motives to people you have never met? this is a purebred dog forum, not a coven of dog rescues, despising breeders or anyone asking for help and advice, in case you are not aware of it?
  12. I remember well the "good ole days" when no one kept their dog in and packs roamed the streets. a percentage were hit by cars, a percentage died when the dominate dog in the group that day decided to take on another and the pack would pile in and tear the one losing to pieces. they weren't the good old days for many dogs
  13. you obviously do not breed and are not a registered ankc breeder or you would know first hand :-) just telling it like it is. kept silent for decades as I saw the poison creeping into my friends, "to be ethical we have to eliminate back yard breeders" "to be ethical we have to eliminate any puppy farmers in the membership" .. ... finally asked them, "You have a backyard, so aren't you just at much at risk of one day going to be targeted?" you cant blame the rspca for phone calls that drop people in their lap . rspca used to be a great group of people.. many of my friends, even my vet worked for them. well until the change came in the 90's ... You forget my vet was rspca head vet for victoria before hugh worth... he left then because it was corrupted, years before he moved to nsw and began his practice here... are you going to respectfully submit he has mental health issues too? Along with my now ex inspector friends and ex kennel workers? There are still some great people working there, hoping to "improve from the inside" . As for the ones still trying from the inside, wish them all the luck in the world.
  14. so? my nieces purebred, registered ankc frenchie must have forged papers? since he cannot have been bred by an ankc kennel if he needs an operation to remove his oversize palette which every year is blocking his breathing, now to the extent his vet has advised the next summer can only be worse than last.. He lives in a air conditioned home, but just to go outside to do his business, he overheats so quickly is in distress by the time he comes inside. as my vet explained, when breeders shorten the face, the genes do not shorten the tongue or palette.... so they either hang out, in the case of the tongue. or impede breathing in the case of the palette. chihuahua's have the same problem... see it over and over again, newbies wondering why their darling baby is "choking". as my vet advises, put your finger on the muzzle and push it downwards to the chest, this will flick the palette up and away from the airways. pity not enough was known to avoid breeding them with the problem when the breeds were being created and features became exaggerated.
  15. very true, how long has mandatory vaccination and microchipping been law? decades? I am still getting calls to chip unvaccinated and un chipped puppies. Even recently from my own grandchild, who should know by a country mile how illegal that is...".BUT nanna, I HAD to rescue it!" strange that not one of the people they bought their puppy from was a registered breeder? oh and NONE of them have used their darling backyard bred puppy for breeding, funny that? The Majority are unregistered purebreds, some beautiful representatives of their breed... .. good gene pool available to refresh the purebreds when they need new blood, like the Australian Stumpy Tailed Cattledog needed to bring in new blood. Wonder if they back stab each other too, the unregistered breeders?
  16. beautiful Panto keep up the good work, guilt trip the person who was foolish enough to ask for advice. Hang in there Flick71, do your best for them and ignore the guilt trippers, they are not the majority of people. Although the purebred world seems to attract the precious who feel they are ordained by god to decide who is perfect enough to the allowed into their ranks. Mind you next week their best friend may decide they are not as perfect as they had believed and then the slanders will begin. and the covert phone calls to council inspectors and the animal welfare groups to inspect them for violations, and so the harrassmant, witch hunt and inquisitions begin of the suspect. Been in the dog world since 1978 and it was nothing like the last 20 years of self elimination.. History just keeps repeating itself... no witch hunts or heretic burning are allowed these days, but now its the thrill of the chase to eliminate and destroy backyard breeders and puppy farmers. Notice the definition of both is as vague as the parameters to drown or burn a witch or a heretic? nothing like a good cleansing of the neighbourhood to make yourself feel virtuous for some. Blissfully ignorant that some one they trust, or more likely someone they have offended, decides to out them for elimination..... the dark ages lust to purge still lurks today no one seems to remember they will probably be next
  17. yes desex them as babies, stop the cycle. always assume the worst of someone wanting a pet today. I know plenty of people with frenchies and none of them are breeding their pets and none of them bought them already butchered before they were 8 weeks old. this is supposed to be a purebred forum. this is supposed to be a place where people who want a puppy are encouraged to come. what the message repeated over and over instead is anyone who wants a puppy, be it pet.. which 99 percent of people want, Even those I know who wonder about breeding a litter one day down the track and become a registered breeder, 90 percent of them, change their mind. Ask any breeder. Its hard work and it cost mega if something goes wrong... and when the patient is your much loved pet, most decider never to risk their life again. So keep it up. constantly assume the worst. So no puppy born will get the chance to grow as nature intended, it will be cut up and its insides altered before its 8 weeks because EVERY ONE who wants a pet is a liar and intends breeding it unto death or dumped. funny how few purebred toy dogs, even large breed, registered or not can be found in the pounds if you are as right as all these comments indicate?
  18. yes, you will be bombarded with desex them before they go, who cares that early desexing will mean they will not grown normally as the puberty hormones will not be there to close their bones at the correct age, they will grow far taller and longer weaker bones and joints, not even their coats will be breed normal, their urinary tracts will not mature normally tend to be undersized and a significant percentage will be incontinent at an early age.... but hey their owner will have to deal that that problem... go google early desexing. apparently even tubal litigation and vasectomy at such a young age can be a disaster for a percentage of puppies, but hey, just because some people dont keep their word and desex at the best age (after puberty) treat everyone as guilty and who cares what the puppies will suffer down their road of life. one vet estimated early desexed dogs and bitches incur up to 7,000 more in vet bills over their life times, so nice windfall for the vet's anyway... the race to be ethical, doesn't include caring about the minus effects on the puppies... your friends bitch is lucky, she will be desexed as a adult ... lucky girl for her future health.
  19. what this route is going to do, is open the door to the taking of any animal regardless of health and condition score, having access to food and water, clean living area will open end the number being seized and euthanased because they are "neglected" because not walked often enough and or "traumatised" because they dont greet every stranger as a new best friend and that is going to achieve what? more income for solicitors and "welfare charities" what does it achieve for the animals taken? well in the case of the border collies in sa the magistrate signed off on every one of those taken being destroyed based on their being shy. on the grounds they might become savage? yet kangaroos will not be allowed to be called sentient beings, solely because the law wants to still be able to issue permission to cull them, truth sure is stranger than fiction all right

  21. The saddest thing I saw was a video on utube, an antelope had been grabbed on the back by a golden eagle. The eagle then proceeded to eat the back muscles of the severely stressed out antelope, why it didn't throw itself down and roll on the eagle... it was obvious the eagle had done this before. Yet we hear all the time how much the human race is cruel. the distress of that antelope was terrible, whether it will recover from the damage or survive for how long after until infection sets in is anyone's guess
  22. so cute, so like the ones my friends bred, you sure found a winner. LOVE her name
  23. sadly the fact that farmers are seen as a population to be fleeced until bankruptcy in the quest for "cheap food" for the city dwellers means the family farm where animals were kept and bred by people who actually like them, be it meat or milk they are going to the wall in thousands because they cannot make enough to feed themselves anymore, Let alone their animals, the drought just speeded it up. before the drought there was some 3,600 dairy farmers, now there are some 600... big business is moving in and creating factory farms and that is not good for the animals.. all the photos of the dairy cruelty to the calves and the cattle are factory, employee farms, to them, they are just a job. there is no history, no third or fourth or fifth generation of the both the people looking after them or the animals descended from the original herd bred there for generations. Descended from Rose, Tonia, Lennie, Snowy..... the family pets that never see a meatworks, that live out their lives at home... the side no one talks about, because you might look silly. once that link is lost they are just numbers, tags and microchip numbers. cannot have cheap meat and milk and a family run farm, they cant survive and they are not
  24. no vet in sydney will do it now apparently so many I have heard of, whose owners have given up trying to find one, the only alternative offered was drugged stupid or green dream.
