Congratulations Alibear! I hope to have this kind of feeling with Flame one day. I need to knuckle down and do more training with her, especially with the E-collar. What training method or tool would you say has contributed most to Bear's reliability on the recall?

Perhaps an etiquette lesson would be more useful than Schutzhund. -

Myszka I'm sure there is a dobe out there that will meet your expectations. -

Hey everyone looks fine on the DVD. You should all be proud of yourselves! Although maybe I should be a tad embarrassed when Flame spat out her ham treats back at me in front of everyone during her demo of focus! -

I deeply resent the implications that I need "corrections"! -

Hi Alibear, I'm glad it worked for you. Its always interesting to observe one's self during training don't you think? ... full gratitude to Monika for her camera-work! -

Hi Myszka! With sufficient motivation I may be convinced to make more DVDs. Its just a matter of initiating "drive". -

If anyone has any playback issues with the DVD then please let me know. Sometimes, with DVD-R discs, certain DVD players may have issues reading some DVDs and occasionally a PC needs to be updated with an appropriate "codec" to play back the DVD content correctly. Enjoy! -

Hi everone, just to let you know the DVD conversion from Monika's (Myszka's) tape went really well. (Thanks Myszka! ) I'm pleased with the quality and its proving to be a brilliant refresher on some of the things Steve covered on the day. Here's a collection of "screen grabs" from the DVD. -

Perhaps I could capture the video to CD or DVD and we could distribute it that way. -

Hey Alibear don't be so hard on yourself! Maybe you just brought out the "Kelpie" component in the dog's personality?? -

Hi Everyone! It was nice seeing you all at the traing and I was grateful we had the opportunity to attend. I agree with you Myszka that Yami the rescued dog was special. To see her recover from her ordeal of injury and starvation to such fine condition was heart warming. The training was certainly improving her confidence, that's for sure I found Steve's concept of the "dog choosing its collar" very interesting, and from experimenting with Flame this morning JBBB found that Flame is definitely working better with a prong collar. She's more attentive and exhibiting more of that pack drive - and less likely to initiate actions according to her "own agenda". -

Well as Flame can verify I have been known to occasionally sing to a dog... normally the response is a slight look of confusion from the dog like "what the heck was *that* all about?" Wowzsers! -

Indeed 65KG is makes for some funny moments during playtime. Meanwhile poor Flame was trying to leap up over the fence (a very tall fence) to join the fun from the other yard. She hates to miss out... did you check out the circumference of Henry's neck? It was truly massive... -

Hey Roobee-Doo that pic of me with Cindy's dogs made me laugh! Despite the slightly odd expression on my face (!) in the pic I like nothing more than being mobbed by dogs... the more the better! -

Hi rubeedoo! Thanks for posting those pics - a nice momento of the evening. No doubt that flame is doing her typical "play bow" to get Ben up for some frolicking in that pic of them in action. Incidentally your rescued lab x staffy pup looks very healthy and extremely keen! Good on you for rescuing such a nice dog! -

Hey Monika (myszka) indeed full credit goes to you for getting us so excited about Dobes! Your contribution at the Royal Easter show with the presentation on the breed was excellent. Flame is such an integral part of our lives that any expense is inconsequential. BTW I am happy to talk about Ducatis any day (and ride them) but I guess you know how enthused bikers can get. Be sure to give Rex a big hug!
