All I can say to this conversation is this: "Alloveen... you KNOW what I mean" Who remembers John Lawz with his "Valvoline" adverts - our younger viewers may not remember this, but I am happy to remind them of tell them in bedtime story format (ie whatever works for them) HA HA HA

Anyone who claims that animals don't feel real emotions needs time in a petri dish to evolve into a multi-celled organism. Then is million years they may have an opinion worth receiving. I always tune out from their "broadcasting"... too much static on their wavelength.

It's wonderful that such progress has been made Rachelle You, K9 Force and Ellie all deserve a collective thumbs-up for such excellence and an example to us all. Ellie is a sweety! -

Can I Feed My Dog (raw) Lamb Shanks?
Flames_Daddy replied to squeak's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Flame adores Lamb Shanks... had some for dinner today. Suffice to say she was KEEN. YUMMY!! -
I love Divani in her various guises - she is a Dobe of many skills.

I miss Flintoff too Rubeedoo, he was a true character amongst GSDs and you did so much to help him. I will miss his habit of chewing peoples hands which we both now have permanently in our Dogie vocabulary as "being Flintoffed". Poor boy. It is a shame about the owner not being attuned to the needs of dogs... but I know you did everything possible to educate them... but in life you can cure ignorance but not stupidity. Here is piccy of the big wolfish boy during a K9 Force training nights at our place.

RB that's one groovy Dobe you have there. Flame is reading this thread with interest and I just know she's brewing a plot of her own!! The arrogance of that creeping couch, thinking it could get away with lurking like that!! Good Dobe! <pat on head> -

I won't ask Divani to jump... I won't ask and she won't tell! Any scratches I get are typically gone the next day. Dobe owners are quick healers. Rachelle taught me the practicalities of bare feet, and since I had to push my car home on the weekend after its cluch cable snapped on hot asphalt (we were coming home from the beach), the soles are quite resilient now! :D On YouTube, mumtoari commented "So, you're a lefty then?" - well I'm not left handed - but when you train Dobes it's worth being a little ambi-dextrous. I'm sure Dobe owners would agree! -

Hey Rachelle! Yes it's brilliant fun - and Flame can keep going for a quite a while. My plan is to take some video of her other activities as well, so I can ask for feedback about how we're going. And in the videos I posted, she's not running that far... if she runs across the length of the entire yard and then launches at me, she's like a ballistic missile crossed with a cannonball!! And BTW, I never swore on a stack of bibles that all my scratches are from Dogs! -

SAS your man is plenty! Also, if I put my shirt on how do I get scratched enough to get the sympathy I crave from concerned sassy DOL gals??? You gotta consider these things... Hey are the links to the vidz working for you guys? I dunno if I need to share the videos or something. When I click the links I inserted it works on my PC.... thanks for helping me out with my experiment. -
Hey Gang, While I was playing with Flame in the backyard tonight I was thinking how cool Myszka's training vidz of Divani and Rex are. So I thought I'd get into the action and grabbed the Orbee ball to keep myself occupied with Flame, because I couldn't make it to Myszka's place tonight for a nice dinner This isn't meant to be a formal drive training session for Flame, its just one of the activities we do for fun together every night in the backyard to relax. I hope you enjoy checking the vidz out because I enjoyed making them for you (thanks to JBBB for taking the footage). OMG You didn't mention this to me at all today Myszka! Man, you must have been so worried about poor Rexy! I am so glad he is OK! Did he look like he was in a lot of pain? What the heck was that??? ;)

Myszka and RB I can stretch myself as a resouce and offer sufficient medical attention to you both. And you don't even need a medicare card! ;) Times like this I'm really grateful Dobes have claws and sharp teeth, and a huge inclination to leap upon their shapely Mums! -
Don't Train In Drive!
Flames_Daddy replied to Emily Howard's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
In my spare time I teach Dobes to jump on their shapely female owners and I sharpen their fingernails too. "Divani, HUP!!!" Did you ever wonder why I don't teach flame NOT to jump on people? -

Yes I think we can hazard an educated guess that Myszka gets noticed. So how do we convince RealityBites to move to Sydney? The medical facilities are SO much better here... and no one puts on a band-aid more carefully than me. Sometimes it can take me hours to get it just right. -

Let's just say I'll be the first to offer a helping hand. Even the tiniest scratch merits investigation. Just doing good deeds is reward enough! As a male nurse do I have to wear one of those nurses outfits? If so, do they come in spandex? You see, the bruise excuse is great for getting an eyeful. -
