Puppy Preschools...in Perth, Wa
blue elephant pjs replied to Jen & her Staffy...Darcy!'s topic in Puppy Chat
PUPI is a group who use ballajurra vet (if they still do it should be able to get number from phone book for vet or PUPI (people understanding puppy interaction)) I would highly reccomend them -
I'm not in melbourne but i love my vet. i worked with one and changed after he performed surgery that resulted in the passing of a child hood pet. I now travel 30mins up to get to them but they are responsive friendly answer all dumb questions, work with the dogs they even treat my dogs to make them comfortable and the nurses even remember us. too bad you aint in perth i'd reccommend them

Choker Chains
blue elephant pjs replied to Staffyfreak88's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Shouldn't it be a personal choice?? i didn't go to a club due to them telling me to train how i was uncomforatble although it only meant a 30 second walk. Fortunately for me there are hundreds of clubs around. I don't like chokers but i have my rottweiler on one due to being unable to find a flat collar to fit but i attach the lead to the under bit so it doesn't retract (does that make sense) hope you can train the way you want to train. Be strong. -
Puppy Training In Wa?
blue elephant pjs replied to Jacquel83's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Midland is 30 seconds form my house. Their groups are normally pretty big and am not sure if you progress together. I have seen agility courses set up there though not sure if they are on same night etc. I believe it is a positive club and it is about $40 then $2 every week for lighting etc they only have enrolments every few months though so best to call first. -
Puppy Training In Wa?

PUPI with emma is awesome. i took my rottweiler (he is now 1) there for puppy training then management and he did really well. they are praise orientated but i used treats at home my rottweiler is so well behaved and is doing great at bedience we changed to northern suburbs after this course finished but i highly reccomend emma (if you get her) as she was very gentle with the dogs and got results from some dogs that you wouldn't expect to see a change. Firm but kind and she really teaches how to teach loose lead walking so as not to use a halti or harness. Good luck with your decision. Edited to add PUPI stands for People Understading Puppy Interaction. The training is basically skills for you to use to teach your dog any command i enjoyed it but others may not like the style as it isn't like northern suburbs or others i have seen. -
Darn I must be the worst owner in the world zeus and i often sit down about once a week to a ham and cheese sandwich each. hmmm wonder how much more of this unhealthy food i feed him that i shouldn't

My dogs get everything i eat some they like some they dont they got 2 kilos of home made spag sauce this morning that i forgot to refridgerate that had onion tomato garlic in . Urgent Advice Needed
blue elephant pjs replied to blue elephant pjs's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Well I can't say for certain if they took the dog to the vet as after they contacted them they got rang and told not to come. I don't know. The dog has apparentally picked up so not sure if was taken or not but is doing fine at the moment. the ratsack was on the ledge of an open window so it may of blown into the yard and not been ingested. Haven't spoken to them since I took mum's dog to vet so hopefully they'll contact me and let me know but thankyou all for the advice it really helped to be able to tell them that.
