  1. every 3 months here too, plus heartworm monthly, fleas very rarely in summer..
  2. Once the entry dates have closed - you can't change your class (catalogues written etc). So if you got your CCD on the Sat - you would either enter CCD again on Sun or scratch. That is how I ended up with 5 CCD passes . nothing like absence nerves making you work better ;! lol yep i didnt word that very well. i ment that say if u needed 1 pass and got it ,scratch on sunday or do ccd again just for the fun of it.. lol ohh der u obviously couldnt enter novice of u hadnt got the last pass..lol 5 ccd passes. lol well done
  3. you can do it , have confidence good luck...
  4. i wouldnt think you could enter both classes at same trial with same dog.? but if the dog gained its ccd title on say the saturday could it enter the novice on sunday? or the pm trial.... if thats what your asking> dont quiet understand, brain freeze here its to cold need more coffee..
  5. aww thats ok, i dont know faces i know dogs faces tho.lol but couldnt pick u either, i was stewarding with ross in ring 1.. was a great day all ran smoothly no hicups at all. judges were all fantastic and getting competitors thru and all so friendly and happy and helpfull, the grounds are always great it must have great drainage because it is never muddy or anything, even tho the soccer club uses it as well. apart from the smell of bunnies and birds everywhere. a bit of a distraction.lol there was some wonderfull results quiet a few titles gained and some very happy owners. well done to all competitors and your beautiful dogs.
  6. well done, i love teaching something and then their reactions and faces when they just get it, and then get rewarded for doing a good job awsome :p
  7. Sway doesn't bark often, and when she does i don't want to encourage it. barking at cat etc. I did get her to bark when she heard this thou http://www.doghause.com/sounds.asp There are a few dog sounds there. She got over it in 2 seconds thou and wanted to eat my speakers :p lol remy doesnt bark either,, except at the whipper sniper, and i dont want to reinforce that behaviour,, altho kids want to teach him to speak..lol
  8. no probs , easy enough to do, if you can get a good cheap coat that already fits then take a pattern off that, that way you have it made to fit your own dog.., the weather better coat i have for my boy , is a tad to small across the chest, id like it bigger for him and maybe a bit more in length in body , but as long as there is enough adjustment, it should fit varying sizes..
  9. i have in the past made them for my old lil doggie. i am going to take a pattern off staffords bigger coat and make him a polar fleece one too, i priced them at pet shop yesterday and they wanted 40 dollars for a simple polar fleece jacket it was lined so was double thickness, but still, you could make it for less than half that price.. i saw them at stafford show recently and i think they were 20 or 30, someone had made them, i realy shoudl of got one of those ones..lol but i dont mind making them myself.
  10. ohhh good luck Arya. hopeing for a pass for you then come say hi when u get a chance, always happy to meet new DOLers
  11. my stafford loves his weatherbeeta coat, at the local pet shop i saw a really good.. fleece lined oilskin one in his size for around 45.00... also like the polar fleece ones for inside or in bed (crate ) at night and his thicker one for outside, hes not outside much these days he hates the cold. weatherbeeta coast are awsome.. thick waterproof. and last, (unless the dog destroys it).. for those that dont know they make horse rugs as well, so they are great quality..
  12. good will be making sure you dont, and be there to watch and cheer u on.
  13. oi slacko,, yes u are you should of entered..
  14. hello trialers and others.... just wondering if anyone has entered the trial at hastings next weekend sat 23rd june at hastings dog club (westernport athletic's track high street hastings). if you have come and say hi, i am not entering but am stewarding in ccd ring , as my club is hosting it,, great club love it. so good luck and come say hi..
  15. another question on this, remy is due for his yearly booster vaccs,, i get c5... has anyone had a reaction the second time round using nasal spray, i will only get injections not nasal. but im interested to know,, he had a reaction to his 16 week nasal spray, then he got a worse dose of KC at around 6 months..
  16. have fed my guys on it on the occasion i forgot to get meat out of freezer or run out etc, i think its fine, dogs loveee it.. i have a swf and she is tiny,, she has had no problems with it either..,, i so usually give them egg or sardines with it too
  17. congrats DD thats an awsome acheivement very well done.. you do keep quiet dont you.. well done big smoochy kisses to beck and skye..
  18. my stafford boy had the same as pumpkin when having the nasal spray, his only lasted for 2 - 3 days. he had benadry for cough and was fine no other problems after that... he did get another quiet bad case of KC at aorund 6 months old, where he was on antibiotics for chest infection as well.. having gone through that i dont know weather id trust the nasal spray again??? or it could of been coincidence ? EFS
  19. ive done this with toby my fluffy boy, and i say shy,, he covers his face, looks very cute.. but will have to try sticky tape with remy, the blowing makes him run backwards,.lol
  20. i just have a verbal command of "free" and then play.. he knows what it means.
  21. congrats thats great news, well done leo and mummy.
  22. mine love their sardines 2 or 3 times a week...with dry food. our ritchies IGA stopped stocking them i asked the manager and complained a few times now there always plenty of them there. lol he knows me and always asks me if i have enough when i see him now, as i buy about 10- 12 tins at a time... 45 cents a tin for the black and gold brand in oil.... the dogs go crazy and do zoomies around me when they see those little yellow boxes come out of the cupboard.
  23. dodge will be with yogi dooing crazy zoomies, and snuggling right up to him giving him the best smoochy labrador kisses and beingt he gentleman that he is will keep him warm and look after him love your little poem to yogi its lovely
  24. take note of all the great advise given here good luck with your dog and some traininga nd hard work ahead,, maybe a crate is in order too crate train him so he does have his won safe haven that 2 year old todler cant get to,.. i know its hard to watch baby and dog every min of the day and hard for the 2 yo to understand he just wants to pat and play with puppy.. haveing a crate would assure you he cant get to the dog while resting or time out etc. if you do a search on crate training if your not familiar with it you will find some very good threads...
  25. congrats and welcome to the forum come on over tot he stafford thread the 2 most valuable pieces i got when i got my stafford pup was crate train and socialise.. i strongly believe in both, i have a well adjusted social dog who loves everyone.. and he loveees his crate, i have to kick him out in the mornings..lol he puts himself to bed he only goes in there when i go to bed at night after hes done the rounds and checked on all the kids and made sure everyone is safe he is a part off the family and spends his time with us. also made toilet training much easier. how do u know a young pups not going to wander off and pee soemwhere during the night. there are so many advantages for crate training i dont see any negatives at all..
