Day 19 (I know I've missed a couple)...I have no idea what the significance of this is, but it's sitting behind the coffee shop and has been there for as long as I can remember - rusting slowly away.....

Day 15......... Let Tango into the front paddock and saw him belting up and down the opposite fence...kangaroo sitting just over the fence on the next block....I shot off to try and grab Tango who was still running the fenceline 3' from the roo, roo sat up straighter as I got closer..then he got taller, rocked up on his tail, flexed his arm muscles and looked down at me from his full 7' height - I grabbed Tango on his next pass along the fence and retreated...to get the camera...pic is of roo at 'normal height'......!!!!!!!!!

On rainy days mine lives under my jacket and only comes out long enough to compose the shot and take it - I turn it on while still under the jacket and have a good idea what I want before I get it out...then as soon as I'm back in the car it gets wiped over....no problems yet and as stormchasers, our cameras do tend to get a bit wet at times even if we're careful

Here are 2 moments that took my breath away for the first 2 weeks of 2011..... Week 1 - sunrise over Mt Macedon on my way to work - views like this make getting up at 4.55am worthwhile!! Week 2 - the first stormchase of the year.......just mindblowing.......!!!!!

Catch up time for me - have been a bit distracted by 220mm of rain falling in 3 days.... Day 11 - zilch - have made up with it with 2 photos on the 14th... Day 12 - Storm Line Day 13 - looks like rain! Day 14 - the river at Tylden I found a 'mini water tornado' (tongue in cheek)...where someone must have pulled plug on the town of Tylden.....
