  1. WHAT?!?!! No disasters this week?!?! Ok.... FINE! I'll share mine...... AGAIN! Well - apparently my previously good herding dog (read, we herd about once a year....) doesn't know what sheep are there for and they MUST be some sort of weird distraction training that mum is trying to trick me with.... LOL! Kinta just wouldn't herd on Saturday . Leo did very well though

Mel - it was run by one of our instructors at club, about what she learnt, got out of the Linda Orton Hill seminar over Easter and how she was to incorporate it into our training at club . Teehee - what do you think of it so far?!?! What's happening with L/L & Chris?! I ask coz if I say "have you seen" i'm going to give something away no doubt!

  7. hmm... the 24th show is Caulfield - so I'll assume it's at the showgrounds. There are some lovely parks around Royal Pde near uni that we could use perhaps?!?!??! PM would suit me fine
  8. Sounds good Jules - I too would love to do a run through with both pups on that April weekend, and I can finally show you 2x2 also! Susan saw Kinta's weaving today and we were both impressed (she just weaved 12 poles and we were only up to 6 in training !)

  10. OMG DD!!!! THANK DOG they are both ok!!!!!! What a scare!
  11. ROFL SnT - I've watched it all already - I couldn't STAND the wait and got it over Amazon for about $30- $40 AUD when it first came out!!!! Let me know what you think of it, what you are up to!!! I'm a GG FREAK! ROFL! So sorry I didn't get to chat for long other than a fleeting wave as everybody walked past! I hope everyone had fun and I want to participate PROPERLY next time . The agility seminar was fantastic and it was just too good to step out of My guys had some fun in obedience (and rain) this morning and considering how busy their day was yesterday, they performed well. Kinta didn't have rockets flying up her butt, which helps as she works better and Leo was good, although a bit too antsy to get on with it... little blighter is going on judges commands at times now .... somehow I *don't* think we'll be getting this pass at croydon either!!! ROFL! I've been told however that if I don't enter Kinta at Berwick at the end of May, my instructor is going to come and slap me silly Sooo....TSD - when's the next meet?!?!?!
  12. Congrats to all you superdogs of late!!! Brag of my own.... Kinta now weaves 12 poles :dummy: Oh - and i've also been told (again) to get my butt into gear and enter her into obedience CCD already..... gaaah - stupid nerves keep making me pull out at the last minute
  13. yup same here - sort of infront or to the left of me... don't really mind so long as they don't pull me over Their leads tangle sometimes, but in all honesty, both have been very easy to walk in one hand and together
  14. Nah not you - i'm sick of you Haven will be good to see you again too!!
  15. I'll try and show you coz I really, really want to meet you all
  16. I agree with this in relation to my dogs PF, but I do know that for other dogs it doesn't phase them in the slightest, hence why I mentioned it Just more food for thought Best of luck Reddii!
  17. What do you do when he knocks a bar? I know a lot of people drop their dogs immediately - but I tend to find this sometimes can be counter productive, particularly with super, super high drive dogs because they've already done about 5 other jumps so *what* exactly were they dropped for One thing that was mentioned to me is that if your dog knocks a bar, you stop immediately saying something like "whoops" and put the bar back up. Go back to 2-4 bars before THAT one that they knocked and start the sequence from there again... IF they get it right, reward IMMEDIATELY. It's almost as though you are acknowledging that they got it right this time round. After the reward (food or whatever) you continue with the course. For my dogs, who are pretty sensitive and slow down if they think they got anything wrong, this seems to work for them (so far... it's a new concept for us!!!)
  18. OK guys I'll try and join you all - if not to train, to have a bit of a chat and maybe show you the 2x2 method..... otherwise, we just *might* have to organise yet another meet!! We all know TSD did such a good job at organising this one, we can count on her to organise another too :D Haven - please come - would love to see you and your guys again .... there are no standards that you have to be to come training
  19. It usually turns out to be a bit of both Haven . Some chatter and a bit of training in-between
  20. Yup - I'll try and join up with you lot later if that's ok... yeah you've got the right spot Jules
  21. Jules - don't be unimpressed - it's only for those that are trialling at CDODC, or thinking of instructing (agility)..... which I don't think you are... as you are only going through the modules . TSD - don't think you would be able to sit in Sorry - I shouldn't have opened my mouth, but I wanted you to know there were other things going on at the grounds also, and I might be 'flitting' a little bit
  22. Yeah there is plenty of room... it's just me being selfish and trying to fit everything in. Don't really know JulesP - was emailed to me for the agility triallers I think
  23. It's up to everyone else - I don't want to put anyone out - I'll manage if we keep it this week... it just sounds like too good a training day to miss (both of them!)
  24. Just some info - there will apparently be some agility seminar at the grounds on Sat!!! I really, really want to go... so now I don't know what to choose!!!! Maybe a bit of both ;)
