  1. Yup we're doing that It's not that he's difficult to train - he's incredibly smart and picks things up with ease :D Not my goat..... easier said by PM I need someone who is epxerienced with goat training .
  2. I know it's not exactly 'dog' training but.... it's still training :D Has anyone on here had some experience training pet goats?! If so can you please contact me via PM if necessary Thanks
  3. Wow Xena - your girls are amazing! They seem to just pull it together week after week after week! Methinks I need one like that Well done What breed are they again?!
  4. WOW - huge congrats Ptolomy!!! what an excellent result.... once again . So - is this warm up for the nationals eh!? Go Beans too! *runs away thinking... maybe I need to hold onto that entry form for a little longer *
  5. great pics! What were the specifications of the 3rd tiger one? What camera?! they are awesome
  6. Seita - I got my idea of how to teach the box from the very DVD that Kavik mentioned - it works a treat
  7. Ditto here. I also wasn't worried about increasing distance right away. It took me about 1-2 sessions to successfully shape the box, and 1-2 weeks to get the full exercise working I just C&T whenever the dog put a paw (or 4!) in the box. Once they were doing that reliably, I would then (lure) the sit position. I would move the box around, move my body around and send them from weird and wonderful angles. No issues. From about 1m away I would hold on to their collar and say "readyyy settt GO" and release them to run to the box. I would always throw a toy behind them once we are at this stage. The dog should remain seated while I move the box around. I would work on getting them into the box from me sitting, back turned, lying on my belly.... you get the picture. It is only at this stage where the dog is literally BURSTING to get to the box because of all the 'good things' it holds that I would add distance
  8. I found it the other week Ness thanks to the CR mag :p http://web.mac.com/mtrebino/Site/Welcome.html

  12. I know someone was taking photos (and I know him, the name just slips my mind ) of obed/ agility Did you get your first place pic on the podium though?! Pedini was doing that
  13. Yeah - I saw that too Only two more trials for me for the year ;)
  14. Well done with getting that discrimination!!! WE were doing so well until stupid handler came to a blinding halt not realising she was ontop of the line! Try telling your dog to go into the right entrance of the tunnel from there Well done Jess

  16. She was SO good all day I was very proud of them both! She Luuuuurves her Ziggy . I think she wants Spotted Aussies
  17. Well done TSD - he had a great run and was having SO much fun!!!! I am buggered! We also had some nice runs. First time ever at the Royal - dogs behaved really well and not distracted at all by the sights and sounds around them . Usually just one or two faults so I'm pretty happy with their runs Kinta walked away with a 2nd place Q in Excellent Jumping so I was rapt with that . Not the fastest run she's ever done, but hey - at the Royal - it's great
  18. WELL DONE TSD! for those who DON'T live in Melbourne - you couldn't ask for worse conditions to trial in - constant drizzle ALL day yesterday, so for the dogs to even perform 1/2 as well is just ideal!!! ;) I didn't enter today but got to watch my friends compete See you tomorrow TSD for some fun burning up the agility courses
  19. Ferntree Gully - Ab Fab Dogs - she is an obedience judge and will be able to train you (privately or in a group) to a trialling level
  20. LOL - the fun part is when there is control. Sometimes the dog is still having fun, but the control has long since gone out the window!! ;) hear hear! ;)
  21. Came across these old shots when were were in Tas.
