Haven't posted in here for a while! here are some photos of my guys with their buddy Levi. Leo was left at home unfortunately so it was just us girls out today. Silly Zara decided to follow her buddy Levi and chase my friends horse... NOT a smart idea! Lucky the horse is VERY tolerant! Kinta, Levi and Zara: Ready..... SET.... GO! This is Leo's "I DONT WANT PHOTOS" face! Zara (for some reason, she reminds me of Dusty here?! ) Zara's face when you tell her to "get back in bed" A new game Levi taught her:

Ptolomy to all the gods of i-squeak. Took my kiddies to training today, i-squeak in hand and both did absolute blinder runs in obedience. Best I've seen Leo work in a LONG time... I wanted to know if I taped it and showed it to the judges whether I could get a UD Pass

Training And Everyday Life

Just tell them you are interested and would like to come see Bub . You know how fanatical I am, and you also know how much my dogs are pets first and foremost . Bit can still have her scrummies from mum just for being too darned cute . I think we all started out just like you did. 6 years ago, I'd never heard of agility, 5 years ago I wanted to 'give it a go' but mainly wanted to take my dog to school so that it would be social and he wouldn't tear the house down. Now look at me -
Wow - well done to everyone that's done so well of late!!!!

WOOOO HOOOO!!!! Go Terra and Jedi!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy for you1

The obedience one doesn't seem to have many trials on it?! -
Well done Jess! i'm bummed I ddint' get to watch more obedience! My brag for the weekend was a little unexpected. We started the weekend with only 2/5 passes towards Kinta's excellent Jumping title. Although she's been trialling for a while, the number of trials entered is minimal thanks to puppies, seasons and a lazy mum . We walked away with 3 passes for her, ALL in excellent jumping giving her her JDX title!!! . Ontop of that she had some LOVELY runs in agility only to be mucked up by me. Leo ran some beautiful rounds and gained a Masters Agility pass. He's only done 4 trials in Masters Agility and now has his 3rd pass under his belt. I'm very proud of him. His masters Jumping and open Jumping rounds were beaut... especially our last OJ round (wish I got it on tape!) where he was fast, furious and did a beautiful distance only to go a little too far out on the RC and miss the 2nd last jump Am very proud of my kiddies but after a jam packed weekend, we are all exhausted! No more trials for us until Mt Gambier! ETA:

WTG - to the WA obedience crew!!!!! Well done Caffy on your UD title!!!! what an achievement! Well done to the Red dogs and to Brookie.... special dog that he is. I wonder if Bedazzled will notice if Brookie went from black to blue one day.... Bad luck RS - next time eh?! At least you are out and trialling and not hiding like I am!

New Championship Title For Neutered Dogs
leopuppy04 replied to capanash's topic in General Dog Discussion
yes this is correct.... those of us that do not desex early can still Limit Register.... and then later on once desexed and if the breeder agrees the dog/bitch can be transferred to the Main Register as a neuter. Yes you can do that - but just because the pups can't be registered with the canine council doesn't mean that they can't breed . different matter all together though. I guess it's just that I would still prefer my 'pet register' pups to be de-sexed at 6mths, but in situations like yours N and with responsible owners, I'm more flexible... but first time dog owners I probably wouldn't be -
New Championship Title For Neutered Dogs
leopuppy04 replied to capanash's topic in General Dog Discussion
I would be very hesitant to allow one of my pups to be shown if neutered at a young age (I consider 6 months still very young, and if desexed at that age, you wont get the correct head shape for one thing), and if that was the case- the dog would still have to be registered on the normal Main Register. Which some breeders are uncomfortable doing. I dunno. Just thinking out loud. My suggestion doesn't work anyway (even with a 12 month rule for Neuter Champ. the pup would want some exposure to the ring beforehand and so needs to be on regular Main anyway ) So ignore me. LOL - yes that is true. Although I guess I'm paranoid about people having their dogs entire for that little bit longer and then havving their Fido 'get out' and breeding with flossie next door :D. either way it's a good idea. I know I have one of my pups now on limit, but she's been kept entire a little longer as they want to do performance with her. in the end it all comes down to trust doesn't it?! -

TBH - I don't think it puts pressure on people to de-sex by 6mths because what's to say you don't just keep them entire and show them 'normally' until then. I think it should be kept at 6mths so the 'pet owners' can desex before maturity/ seasons and all of that which they may not want to be involved with
