That's what I always think too RS - but I'm sure Millie worked beautifully and the score was well deserved So many congratulations to go around for this weekend!! Well done to Sieta and Ella, as well as Bedazzled and Ptolomy!! My brag is that I took a classic tumble in my agility run with Kinta, yet we still managed to pass and win the ring! good girlie!

Lol or ot could be "oi mum we're in the middle of a run here... Stop relaxing and get your butt moving!" LOL

Step 1: Decide to go to the state trials despite awful, muddy conditions. Step 2: Set up dog for Excellent Agility, toward end of the day where rain, multiple people traipsing on the ground has made it quite slippery Step 3: Proceed to run course.... Step 4: Fall flat on your a$$ for all the world to see Step 5: Get up, keep running and see how you go Step 6: Run a clear round under time and gain a pass Step 7: To top it all off WIN the ring Step 8: Make sure a friend captures it all on video. Sorry - I'm technologically challenged and can't work out why I loose the sound every time I create a video these days ;-)

Me too Capanash Is there a reason that Dogs Vic are not supporting the new Neuter Champion title? I can see that NT, NSW, ACT and SA clubs have all jumped on board and supported this new class. Come on Vic, I think it's time that we supported this class too. I am sure there are many more that share the same opinion as me, or perhap...s have their own Neuter they are keen to show in their own state. Seems that the first 3 posts they have are all about neuter shows

Like your one of thinking armarni! Really annoying as I'm dying to enter as is mr Leo!

So why is Vic not jumping on board

How does this breed cope in a suburban yard? AS the others have said - with the correct mental and physical stimulation Aussies cope quite well. Providing them things to do while you are at work and giving them appropriate exercise and they are quite happy. Like Lyndsay said - they dog chill fairly well and mostly like to just be with you. While I think inside time is important, I think that WHAT you do with your dog is far more important. so say for example, if you work FT but live alone, then making the most of that inside time with games, tug and tricks for at least a short session would be best How do they cope with livestock - i.e. horses? Not sure on this one as I don't have any, but I would say due to lack of exposure mine would chase them . But with training etc, I think they would be fine. My friend has an Aussie that regularly visits her horse etc. Are they good off leash (yes with training) I know many many many Aussies with excellent recalls and are brilliant off leash. Training is a must, but their natural desire to be with their owners helps! Are they good with small animals like smaller dogs, cats and chickens? Yep. We have a cat and they are great. Heaps of people keep their Aussies with chooks, and with training I think mine would be ok. Leo is perhaps a little too obsessed with small animals . smaller dogs - 2 of mine would be great with and 2 are a little too rough, so with a bit of training would be ok too. What are they like with other dogs? Mine love them! K needs a bit of time to warm up to them, but that was only ever after her first litter. Once she knows the dog, she adores them and plays wonderfully with them! All the others - it's love at first sight Yup - I've heard it's quite common. Perhaps strip her coat out and see how it recovers?

Nobody will know if you do Nah they are usually welcome so long as they don't disrupt the Top dog class. So a crate trained dog is always a good idea Most of us keep our dogs in our crates while watching Top Dog. Nik - it's at KCC park . -
I'll be there Luke!

should have asked me to film for you Luke - just like I should have asked someone to film for me Well done for your results though!! Barkly looks like he was having a tonne of fun!

*evil cackle* Hey - I don't go down this path on my own - I like to drag others with me too LL - I expect to see piccies of Lottie playing with her new toys ;). I'm sure Nikki would love to see them too ( she's an aussie nut too ;) ) -
I compete because I love it. I like the challenge and I love having to constantly find ways to improve my handling skills. Most of all it's important for my dogs to have fun. If they don't have fun, neither do I! I can have the biggest smile on my face and my dog has just made a huge blunder (read: bringing back his TOY instead of the seekback!), but they've had a blast all the way through. I love the challenge of trying to keep it constantly fun for the dogs! I'm not out there to win, but hey - who doesn't like winning. I also want to be the best that we can be (dogs and myself!). It's just a fun outlet for me and my dogs to have fun together and challenge ourselves

Seita - sounds as though Ella is really settling into her UD work - I haven't been in this thread much, but you certainly should be proud of your training and her efforts Huski - I know how you feel . I used to get SO nervous for trials - only found one solution for it... UD trialling ;) There are so many avenues your dog can muck up you just can't get nervous about it!! Might I suggest to you that at your next trial, just think of something you would REALLY like Daisy to do well. It can be one thing. It can be super easy or maybe something you've been training on. I set little goals like 'I would like to walk in a straight line' or 'I would like Kinta to do her left about turns properly' or 'I would like Leo to find his seekback'. If I set these little goals for myself, I find myself a LOT calmer, I have fun, and I feel like someone gave me a million dollars when the dog gets it right . Have a think about the things you've been working on with Daisy - or even just to reduce your nerves, choose something she does really well and aim for that. with Kinta, when she was being her nervous self, it was something like 'I would like her to have fun with me between exercises' ;) I have every faith that you and Daisy will get there. Not to mention - you didn't exactly choose the 'easy' breed like the rest of us now did you?!?! ROFL!

haha ness it's the first vid I've watched of Kenzie in a while . Go the little pocket rocket!! Her runs were really nice and you handled her really well too !! You must be proud of her efforts!
