That's a fairly reassuring page Coogie, suggests he would need to eat around 20- 40mg for it to be toxic

Do You Love All Your Pets Equally?
kelpiecuddles replied to Blackdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Just like my kids, I love them equally but some of them frustrate me more than others LOL -
crumbed foam can get lumpy, feathers can hold smell. personally I'd get some of the polyfill, that way you can throw it in the washing machine if needed, PUL will be fine through the wash obviously but i would consider making only one side out of PUL otherwise when you wash it it will be hard to spin the water out .

Anyone have any good tips for spots I could camp with my kids and dogs on our way from the Sth Coast to Melbourne? In the vicinity of Yass to Albury would be good. The dogs are quiet and well behaved and will happily just sleep in the mid section of our tent and will be kept on leash so doesn't need to be fenced. Thinking state forest camping areas, etc? We travel to Melbourne fairly regularly as my parents live there and in the past have just done it in one day but as my husband is currently posted overseas I have to travel on my own and sometimes it's just too far in one day on my own. I'd also be interested if anyone knows of small cabin/caravan park style accomodation (they can sleep outside in their crates if necessary) that will allow dogs if the weather isn't going to be nice enough to camp.

Cute Photos Of Puppies And A Baby

Thanks Melina, those ears ;) -
Personally i'd just give the emergency vet a ring and ask them. I know it's not good to overdose on it so probably depends on how much he weighs
-
I just like the old AAMI ad where the dog jumps to catch and goes right off the side and in through the sunroof of the car.

I have three kids so i hear my fair share of 'mum, can i hold the dog's lead?'. I don't get why people don't just clip two leads on to their dog, that way mum or dad is still in control and the little people feel like they are helping, it's not rocket science! Hope your baby is feeling better :)

Tests On Dog Harnesses Show 100 Percent Failure Rate
kelpiecuddles replied to Red Fox's topic in In The News
This is why my dogs usually travel restrained in the boot area unless I have a boot full of stuff. I've never thought those harnesses would do much for the dog and thought their main purpose was to protect the people but this has confirmed my thoughts about them being too flimsy for that even. The problem is that you can't strap dogs into a seat like you can with a baby, they will never be firm enough, that's why a crate is such a good idea for travel. -
Just came across this gallery on News.com thought it had a fair bit of aww factor happening and that others might appreciate it too :p http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/gallery-fnet085v-1226646908554?page=1

I'm pretty sure there is dog training in Bundoora, at one stage I think they were meeting at Latrobe Uni. I'm not sure if they do agility there but maybe do a bit of googling

Any Ragdoll Rescues?
kelpiecuddles replied to mixeduppup's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Sorry peeps, slight delay on raggie pictures. Ciara's not feeling well so she's going to stay where she is until she's feeling a little bit better as the transport can't take her not well. Won't be long and she'll be here though and in the meantime she's getting plenty of love from MUP and the others at the vet I promise that as soon as we have ragdoll action here there will be pics forthcoming :D -
I use free but I'm not in a class situation so don't have that problem. It doesn't really matter what you use, it means nothing to the dog(you could use the word brocolli if you wanted!) You could use go, gone, run, done, break, finished or even some sort of colour code(blue, green...)

Do Not Blink! Do Not Turn Your Back!
kelpiecuddles replied to Kirislin's topic in General Dog Discussion
fabulous! My brother in law is a mad Dr Who fan so I'm going to link him to this one :) -
It sounds to me like she sees you as a playmate and your partner as boss dog
-
If you can get one of those pens it might help. By being able to keep him in a contained area while training or unsupervised the pad will be always close at paw if he needs it.

nothing nasty kirislin, about the changes in legislation

Dinner Plain, or hope for a huge cold snap causing snow in the Dandenongs

That's disgusting behaviour from everyone including the council PME, is there another venue they could use. Personally I'd be finding another venue and then printing out basically what you have just written and putting it in to a letter and sending it to council so they know exactly why you are leaving and I'd make sure any other organisation wanting to use the grounds is well aware. Otherwise maybe a little chat to the local media, they always like stories about intimidation and misbehaviour from sporting groups :p

There's an earlier one as well if you look at the previous messages who has been in touch with Amanda :) So a couple of options by the looks. He looks great for 16 years!

Was she lying on that side where the lesions are a lot before finding her feet? Wondering whether they are related to her lying in muck, etc
-
Best of luck. She sounds like a lovely but very confused pup whose been dealing with a lot of misunderstanding and mixed messages from your flatmates. hopefully things will settle now that you are at home and with like minded people who understand rotties, that plus some professional help and she'll be a star before you know it :)

Scaly Patch Above Tail?
kelpiecuddles replied to kelpiecuddles's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
She's had a bit of a lick at it but not because of the cream I don't think, she's not licking it any more than she already was. Where does one find calendula tea? I doubt I would be able to get it local, probably need to go to the next big town.
