  1. Hi Anne, I can't offer any words of advice, but I'll be thinking of handsome Murray and hoping he's feeling much better in the morning. from Anna and the Beagle Boys.
  2. Hi All! Jimmy the beagle boy was coming up to about 8 months old when we started talking about getting a second doggy to keep us, and him, company. While a motivation was to have a friend for Jimmy, it wasn't the only one. Knowing that another little beagle boy was on the way a few months later was a huge incentive to make sure Jim was up to speed with his training/behaviour prior to the newcomer's arrival . I couldn't imagine having to deal with two cheeky beagles misbehaving at once! Having said that though, some of the little cheeky things that he had been doing (like dragging rugs out through the doggy door !) have all stopped now that little Harvey has joined the family. It's almost like the spare time he used to have to think up little bits of 'entertainment' for his beautiful beagle brain have now been taken up with playing with Harvey. So glad we have two, they're a joy to watch when they're playing together - constant companions! In terms of washing on the line etc, the only real foolproof solution is to hang it away from little beagles! Just when you think you little boy is perfectly trained, they'll do something to surprise you! I wouldn't have it any other way Click here for photo of Jimmy and Harvey
  3. Our beautiful boys are so special to us Katey. We miss them always and they can never, ever, ever be replaced by another in our hearts. It took over a year after I lost my beautiful big boy, Spud the Old English, to let another doggy into our lives. Each is special in their own way, but some touch your heart and leave pawprints there forever. It's so normal to miss them, shed tears and feel quite nuts while doing so even many months after you lose them. It helps so much to give your other furry babies a big smooch and a hug when you're feeling down - they don't mind if you leave soggy bits on their fur Just think of all the doggy lovers out there on DOL sending you warmest wishes. Anna
