Shes been on it for 3 weeks now, and it is 2 months since her last cartrophen injection, Ness. Tramadol spaces her out, I give her Rimadyl which does help a bit, she does not tolerate the dosage that she should be on though, she copes with half the prescribed dosage, so therefor she doesn't get the benefit that she should. I will have a good chat with my Vet and see if there is anything else I can do for her.

I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't seem to be helping my Jazz much at all, she is 15 1/2, so I guess I couldn't expect miracles, but I was hoping for a little improvement. I'm booking her in for another cartrophen injection,so I will see if that helps at all combined with the RHV.

My 15 year old whippet suffered an attack of Geriatric vestibular disease some months ago, she had no signs of nystigmas though,and no head tilt, and recovered pretty well over night which surprised me and my Vet. She was given anti-nausea medicine She has not suffered any further attacks since. Its pretty scary to see, good luck to your girl.

After seeing Kenz's results I am going to try this for my 15 1/2 year old whippet who is sore in the shoulders, I have got her on Pearnaise at the moment, after trying Joint Guard, which didn't help at all. She has been having cartrophen injections 3 monthly, but that doesn't seem to be helping at all. I have had her to Matthew Condon, who used a tens machine on her, and that helped marginally. But I am having trouble trying to get it in Adelaide, it seems to be on order by Petstock and chemists but not in stock.

I'm not sure if it is the same system, but my F&P Aquasmart does not have an agitator, (supposed to be a top loader that works the same as a front loader, less water usage etc), and the lint system is useless. I have had 2 F&P top loaders before and they were great, but the Aquasmart has been a very dissapointing purchase.

If you do this you end up with sheets with dry patches on them. I have had a new mother board put in mine which allows more water in the machine, but it still happens. I was told the other day that the Good Guys are not stocking them any more because people are so dissatisfied with them. If a customer really wants one, they will order it in.

As I said, it's not that uncommon. It makes the desexing more complex and akin to a female spay because of the increased surgical time, therefore the price is more too. I think the general consensus is that it should be done at the usual time of desexing. There is a risk that retained testies can become cancerous but from my reading this does take a while. I think any time from now on would be fine but the timing is something you could discuss with your vet. Your boy is definitely old enough to sire a litter so if that is an issue (in terms of access to entire bitches), I'd be opting with sooner rather than later. Yes, both testicles removed is the usual male method of desexing. You can get a vasectomy done but I have no idea why anyone would want one on a male cat. I wonder if your friend got that right. Cat breeders often have a vasctomised stud that is used to take the females out of call. Prolific callers like Siamese and Burmese breeders often use them.

Oh Goodness you're not having much luck in the eye department are you ? Poor little Kibah, is it not possible that it is just a 'bleed' ? If it is the worst diagnosis she will adapt and cope, thankfully they are not like us, we would just sit around and feel sorry for ourselves. She is healthy, in great condition, she will be fine, I know that you will worry, but we'll all be sending positive and healing vibes to her. Hugs to you....
