My whippets have the run of the house at all times, they have a doggie door if they need to go out Actually, I guess I just live in their kennel...... ;)

I had my grey Ebony (RIP) assessed by GAP here in Adelaide, she was a rescue from NSW. She went to stay with a foster carer for a week and then was taken by the carer for her assessment ( I watched, but hid until she had finished) which she passed and was then given her green collar. I was very happy with those arrangements, she lived in the carers house and slept in their bedroom etc, so was not stressed. I think it cost me about $80, and was well worth it. Edited to add that the foster carer was also an assessor.

My male whippet will not eat bones unless they have been 'started' by one of the girls....... :rolleyes:

I have a station wagon and a cargo barrier, but I am paranoid about being rear ended and unable to get to the dogs who could be badly injured. So they sit on the back seat in harnesses.

Is there any news on the low fat dry food yet ? My grey is refusing to eat her HIlls and RC low fat dry food unless I spike it with BH. It is getting to be a big problem as she is on low fat food because of pancreatitus. If my whippets leave any in their bowls she is over there like a flash to clean up the remainder. Thanks, Trish
