What is TOTW ?

I bought some of these a couple of years ago, and put pillows inside, not beans.

I can lend you a muzzle for the time being if you like, I think you are down south ? My old greyhound I rescued from a pound in NSW, and then after I had worked with her for a couple of months I put her through the green collar assessment with GAP. That involved her staying with a foster carer for a couple of days to be assessed by her, then she went for the formal testing and passes with flying colours. There was a fee for the service.

Sorry to worry you, I should have posted more information, but my computer was having one of those days, I was about to throw it in the spa. As it was it took me soooooo long to get the title update. I can't even get the emoticons up to show how mad I was with it. Looks like it really has got some problems. !!!!!!!!!!!! -

I spent a couple of hours driving around down there, I was worried that if she was in the scrub she might encounter a snake... -

Thanks, she was being fostered at Aldinga Beach, near the area of scrub down there...... -
No option for me either....mine are inside 24/7 with access to the yard via a doggy door, so they just please themselves but mostly they are wherever I am.

Crystal is beautiful, very pretty, good luck with her.

I have had one in my station wagon for a few years now, and it has never collapsed, my dogs have never tried to push through it though, (whippets and greyhound). They must be installed tightly though, and are easy to remove if you need to, I am a bit paranoid about someone rear ending me and being unable to get the dogs out if the barrier is screwed securely to the car chassis.

Fingers crossed for Alvins safe return.

Thundershirt For Dogs With Fear/anxiety Etc
Trishm replied to helen's topic in General Dog Discussion
We had another really bad storm here in Adelaide last night, and again Flynn was so much more relaxed with his thundershirt on. He's still not completely relaxed but so much better, no panting, shaking etc. -
According to the blurb they take on the ambient temperature, so hot in summer and cold in winter, that would not be good for an arthritic dog. I had read some info about the beds, here are some of the links: https://seniorpetsupplies.com/arthritis-joint-care/canine-cooler.html http://www.online-pet-store-4u.com/product_Canine-Cooler-Bed.html http://www.mypet.net.au/CanineCooler.htm my three lie on them in the winter, they also have soft-mattressy beds to lie on, but prefer the dog water beds. Thanks for that information, very interesting and contradicts the information on the other site, they appear to be much better quality too. Do they feel warm in the winter if you put your hand between the dog and the bed ?

Thundershirt For Dogs With Fear/anxiety Etc
Trishm replied to helen's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think it's recommended that if a storm is forecast and you're going to be out for the day to put it on the dog before you leave? That is exactly what I would do, being a whippet he is very used to wearing coats through the winter, so wearing the thundershirt is no big deal for him. I guess if dogs are not used to wearing a coat it may take some time for them to get used to just wearing it, so it may take longer for it to have a positive effect. -

Trishm replied to helen's topic in General Dog Discussion
The Thundershirt has made a huge difference to my whippet Flynn, he normally shakes, pants and his heart looks as though it is going to pop out of his chest, but with the thundershirt on, he doesn't shake or pant, he still follows me around and needs to be close but he is much more relaxed, it is a godsend to us both. -
I have had great success with Matthew Condon also.
