  1. YAY I am really looking forward to going and didn't want it to be cancelled. Though if it is really wet is there anywhere undercover we can go? Anne
  2. Hi Jenny Maybe Chelsea and Jake will be fighting out who is the most hypo Yeah I hope the weather holds too Look forward to meeting you and Chelsea Anne
  3. Big old Bump! First training session is tonight. For all you guys going just a warning my dog is abnormal and he talks and whines all the time and will be really really hypo We are going to get there a little early so he has time to settle down a bit Anne This is the crazy pup Jake himself
  4. Thanks Tam Me too was only in the vets 15 mins and was very pleased nothing too serious Jake and Murray do groom each other though not a huge amount. Murray loves when Jake scratches him though Must be a beagle thing Anne
  5. Hi guys Sorry not to have posted until now, Mum insisted dragging me to the shops and I just got home. Didn't buy a thing grrrr I don't like shopping Anyway Jake went to the vet and he said that he has a mild ear infection as well as iritated ears from the flys and a sore that he thinks was caused by something else. Gave him a shot of quarterzone (I don't know you to spell it properly) to clear up the sore on his ear and gave me Dermotic drops for his ears to clear the infection up on the inside. He was a good boy and it only cost me $80 so I was glad it didn't cost more Here's hoping it will do the trick Anne
  6. Just spoke to the vet and he is going at 4.40pm tonight. Fingers crossed nothing too serious Anne
  7. Thanks for posting that Sugar. I think that it would be in the early stages, but I am not taking any chances with my boy, he's off to the vet, am going to see if I can bump to appointment to tonight. Anne
  8. Thanks Rozzie, It is off to the vets for this boy Anne
  9. Took both Jake and Murray for a walk together for the first time in a while last night (I had been walking them separately or my sister walking Jake as Murray was pulling on the lead) and Jake was being so silly. He got all excited and was pulling and being a loon, so that it what I need to concerntrate on, heeling nicely Jake and i haven't been to a training class since we stopped going to my old obedience club and I haven't enrolled Jake at ADT yet, wanted to get Murray started first so it is going to be interesting to say the least I will be the one with the crazy dalmatian talking his head off Anne
  10. Thanks for the reply guys. I've never had a dog that has ear mites and confess not to knowing very much about them. Wouldn't my other dog Murray have them too if Jake has them? Thanks Tam, yep epiotic would be great for Murray too with his long ears Will give that a go. Anne
  11. Hi guys, Jake my three year old Dalmatian is constantly itching the inside of his ears, so much so that he has made one of them bleed. It will be a trip to the vet this week, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem in their pups. He had fly bite on his ear, but this is almost cleared up from the septicide that I have been and continue to use. I have had a look in his ears and can't see anything in there (thought he might have a grass seed or something) his ears did have a bit of wax in them, so I have cleaned them out, but he is still itching. Anyone have any ideas or advise? I have an appointment at the vet later this week Anne Edited cos I can't spell
  12. Its a pain isn't it... At least I don't have kids to worry about, just a mortgage, bills and two pups and a pony and of course me. I think I could definately use one and I would be saving heaps of mess in my bathroom Anne
  13. ive seen these and was very tempted... could se it in my garage now..... husb would  im sure....lol I'd LOVE one of these!!! Might have to see how much money is left after Christmas... Anne
  14. Jake and I are really looking forward to going as well. It has been ages since Jake has been in a formal training type of class. Will be interesting to see how he goes Might bring Murray along one week if Jake makes good progress. Murray is not going to like being left at home on his own Anne
  15. The only thing that is really going to help your boss is to take the dog to training and train him properly, but if they are not prepared to do this??? I have heard some people using a sporn harness and while personally haven't used one apparently they work quite well. Not having used one couldn't really recommend it... I would really get them to consider doing some type of training and they will enjoy it too, not just the dog  Anne
  16. Maybe instead of getting another puppy you could just take over hubbys pup work on his issues etc. what is to stop a GSD competing in agility? If he likes it go for it when he is older Anne
  17. K9: well your in good hands, the picture has become more clear now. thanks.. Second the motion! Erny is wonderful You can't go wrong with Erny helping out :D Anne
  18. Hi Alison, Yep they are inside when I am at work now so no more going walks without me. I have tried putting bricks and pieces of concrete etc. around where they had been digging etc and they just dig somewhere else or a bigger hole around the bricks. I am really starting to stress about it. Anne
  19. We will definately be there on Sunday and I tell you Erny I am getting so worried about both of them escaping. They got caught by the ranger yesterday thank god but I got a not so nice fine especially at this time of year and I work everytime I leave the house that they are going to get out. It is really worrying me so I will look forward to a chat on Sunday. Anne
  20. Good on you Haven for pointing that out! ADT might not be for everyone, but it is working well so far for Murray and I. On a side note not really training wise I am having some problems with my boys escaping from my yard (I think Murray is the insticator and Jake is doing the digging) would one of the behaivourists be able to help with this problem? Anne
  21. I too have been using the Nature's gift small treats recently with Murray and he loves them and for less than $2 per packet from the supermarket find them hard to go past Anne
  22. Yes, he struck me as quite the 'debonair' gentleman Yep Loki's story on the website is about my dog. He is a GSD, my other dog Nova is the Rotti. The story as it is written on the website is pretty remarkable I think, but it hasnt been updated for well over a year. Since that was written Loki has passed Advanced obedience and spent 6months in Team Extreme where he learned a whole bunch of cool tricks! Since then I have changed his diet and tried a few different things for his axiety, DAP, vitamin and mineral supplementation and Bach flower remedies among them and his behaviour was greatly improved. Unfortunatley he is having a bit of a regression at the moment since Nova has surgery to repair her ruptured cruciate ligament. Because she is crated a great deal of the time he has noone to play with and he won't go anywhere without her so he spends all day on my bed feeling miserable Whoops sorry got confused... I am sure that Loki will return to hus usual self when Nova is up and about again Anne

Poor Loki sounds like he is missing his play time with Nova. I am sure that once she is up and about again he will be back to his normal self. Anne
