Hi Ruby Star We decided to make the Chicken and Rice Kibble slightly larger so it was easier to differentiate. from the Lamb & Rice Kibble, The Chicken and Rice is the same blend as the Lamb & Rice, but using chicken, chicken is lighter in colour, The Chicken & Rice formula is lower in protein 22% and lower in fat 12% Hope this helps regards Sherel

Hi Everyone As you know l am not on DOL very often and will check if someone notifies me of an issue, l can absolutely 100% guarantee there has been no changes to BlackHawk formula, l have 2 breeds and over 10 dogs l would be the first to know, we also have no reports from anyone of any changes, we have several boarding kennels in the area all on BlackHawk purchasing 10 x 20kg bags weekly and in some cases more, But what might help some of you, is the results a lady found about 3 weeks ago, she lives in Qld, l will copy & paste her email to me,l have xxx out her name, "Hi Sherel Thank you for spending the time talking to me on the phone the other day, The dogs continued with their upset stomachs , so I took your advice and took 2 of them to the vet (couldn’t handle 5 on my own LOL) I am so glad I did take them turned out it was nothing to do with the food, it was Giardia something I had not heard of, My vet explained to me that with all the rains and floods affected water has gone into waterways, he went into good detail about it, and I have since Googled it for more information, Wikipedia even mentions an out break in Sydney http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giardia_lamblia Dogs are treated and on the mend and back to doing great on their Blackhawk, Thanks Regards xxxxx & the four legged gang.

Hi Juice i hope your boy is ok, just a thought as i dont know the area you live, is there any chance the corn cob could have been baited for another animal Rabbits, Rats, Birds etc, if the corn kernels are gone and it was originally used to bait then maybe the cob has some residue of the bait ? Hi All There are many factors that can change the kibble colour, but mainly its the raw ingredients which are affected by seasons and climate changes,ie like meat can be a different colour from stock eating spring grasses, fruits and veggies can be a different colour depending on climate (water, Sunshine) etc, we do not add anything to make BlackHawk a uniform colour (no artifical colours, no artifical flavours, no artifical preservatives), Kibble size can change from time to time with the wearing of the plate that forms the kibble we have a minimum size and a maximum size and once it reaches the maximum size a new plate is used, i hope this has helped to answer the questions Regards Sherel

Hi Shazzapug i think you should have asked before you place blame BlackHawk has been on the market for 4 years but more readily available in the last 3 years, we have not had a price rise to the consumer in 4 years we have absorbed all the price rises ourselves, but it became unrealitic for us to continue to take the rise, not only in raw materials (two price rises), but manufacture costs (electricity etc) then on top of that freight with fuel prices, just a few of the rises, To set the record straight out of all of the above we only passed on a $5 per bag price increase so if anyone tries to tell you any different then its not true, we have a suggested retail price we can not make retailers stick to that, i am not sure who the salesman is that told you it goes to a single distributor again not true, there are three wholesale distributors, and we still service our exsisting customers, And the price rise is effective to these customers from the 1st of June 2012. we gave them 2 months notice. Think about it if the show guy isnt putting his price up ?? then why are you blaming me for your groomer in Kyneton charging $99 ? we only supply one store in Kyneton i am not sure if this is your groomer ? again we cannot tell them what to charge only suggest, So again the only price rise from BlackHawk is $5 per bag, we will always absorb as much as we can, we want BlackHawk to remain high quaility and affordable, Happy for you to PM me the Kyneton name, If your not at a show Nicholas is 30 minutes from Kyneton, Regards Sherel

It's more that they are not located close to where i live/work and I was hoping there may be other retailers which are closer. There are NO North of the river suppliers. I'm currently feeding something else as Wendy didn't reply to my email until a week later, didn't return my phone call or reply to my text. Really annoyed with BH at the moment. Though a friend is moving to Rockingham and she has offered to help me get BH so hopefully I can start feeding it again soon. I would pick up from Wendy on the weekends but she goes to shows all the time and I don't like going to the show grounds just for dog food, then meeting her between dogs etc etc. Wendy delivered to me once but she said it was too far. Used a courier a few times but they were useless. Awesome food but so hard to get if you live north of Perth. So yeah, I'm currently not feeding BH as I can't get it without a lot of messing around. eta .. Pookinuk is now also selling BH but they've bumped up the price big time.

Just love this range :0)" We have been having wonderful feedback on the grooming range, The Himalayan Crystal Ear Cleaning Gel has been a huge hit, feedback is, no oiliness left on coat around the ears, its soothing, removes wax & dirt easily, i use the Volume/Engerized on My Rough & Smooth collies and my German Shepherds, i use the natural white on the Collies whites, The Cha Oolong Tea & Green Tea are designed not to soften the coat, so good for terrier coats, Aloveen is a medicated shampoo, we have Anti Bacteria, feedback on that from a grooming salon was how quick and how well it cleaned up a hot spot on a dog that came in the owners called the next day to ask what she had used, Hope this helps

Hi tlc Thank you for the feedback on the shampoo, we have had a lot of very positive feedback, dont they smell awesome Regards Sherel Your babies are divine!!! I washed Lacy in the shampoo and conditioner today before we went off to do our Therapy Duties at the hospital and sooooo many people commented on how lovely her coat was and how absolutely soft and luscious it is. Definatley on a winner there Sherel, has anyone else here used the shampoo and conditioner yet?
