Fruit And Dogs - What Fruits Are Ok To Try?
Rozzie replied to chezzyr's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Ours help themselves to the fruit off our trees.. bottom third for dogs, top third for native birds and middle third for us. They spit the seeds of apricots, nectarines and peaches out. They pick bunches of grapes from the vines (never had a problem), the strawberries are goners. They love fresh veggies from the garden... so much for people self sufficiency... -
Sorry to hear about Buddy... he'll make friends with our Jimmy at the bridge and give em all curry!!

We have the same problem with Pixi (2 year old Chi). She's had the shots, the tablets, she has no additives in her food... she scratches and scratches... hers is on her back. No fleas, I use Aloveen... It comes in waves.. she can be great for ages then starts up again...

She thought she was a dog.... RIP Fudgey...

She was teeny when we brought her home... she mewed the whole way from Sydney to here when we moved... the girl in the drive-thru at Maccas in Lithgow thought my car was possessed! She was a funny puss...

Fudgebucket died in her sleep today. She was 13 years old... She was my daughter's cat and lived with us when Elle went to Queensland.

They're always with you Katey.

Dumb question time... again... We have gone up market in Mudgee and have a new Big W store. In the brochure they were advertising puppy wee pads. How do they work?
-
Re the organically raised meat... I work with a girl whose farm is certified organic... their cattle are farmed much more intensively than ours!

My boy, went over the Bridge on Monday night. I handraised him after his litter was dumped at two days old. As a baby....

Came from a place where he was used to teach other dogs to fight.

I've just buried Jimmy... poor little bugger. Jimmy came home on Xmas Eve last year, his little body covered in scars. He was used as a bait dog and his previous terrors were evident all the time in the early days here. He was suspicious of everyone, would have a go at any dog who went near him... He is the only dog I have ever been bitten by. As the time went on he learnt the world was not such a bad place. He became friends with several of the smaller dogs and was totally devoted to Mr R. He followed him everywhere and waited each evening by the top gate for his ride up the driveway with his 'dad'. He loved going out in the car and loved 'driving'. He had begun to play. He learnt to sit. He would wait patiently in his crate for his dinner. He was a funny little bloke. He's buried where he can watch over the drive and keep us company when we enjoy a late afternoon drink in our little garden. I just hope the last five months of his short life were happy for him.... RIP Jimmy James...
