Wonder why my lot are odd?

What a hero. I hope they can do something to protect the last of the penguins.

My terriers will go after wild birds, mice, lizards and butterflies. Yet they happily co-exist with the chooks. Particularly Columbus when it's feed time, lol.

That would drive me spare. This is how all our dogs get on with the chooks, except the Belgian because they terrify him

I did two dogs at once. One was crated while the other trained. There was never any drama when they were in different classes, and once they caught up I would do half a class withone and the other half with the other. The club had no dramas with it. In fact, there were quite a few people training multiple dogs.

Maybe he just seems slower to you because he doesn't eat with the same enthusiasm as the puppy?

I remember (just) going to Tassie on the Empress of Australia. I have a photo with a Collie who was the only dog on the trip. He had a crate outside. Poor dog, it was a horrendous crossing, the worst they'd had for x number of years. The dog fared way better than me.

My poor Belgian was a quivering heap. We didn't have pretty fireworks courtesy of the clowns down the hill, we had canons. The little guy thought he was tough and barked at them. Old Columbus slept through it all since he is deaf as a post. My biggest concern were the horses who were thundering around the paddock. What rocket surgeon lets off fireworks in the middle of the bush?

Can you not get a crate for the back of your ute?

My vet makes me a coffee I'd still expect to pay for multiple consults if I took in multiple animals. If he charges me 2 consult fees for 2 dogs I'll just ask for another coffee! So does my free range pig vet. Our vet charges one consult fee. When I lived in Sydney ours did too, and it didn't matter how many or what type of animal you took.

Easiest way to find out, ring your vet and ask.
