  1. Ah, thanks for explaining.
  2. Neighbour had to shoot his next door neighbour's dogs who had attacked ewes with lambs, one ran back to their place. Ranger came and collected her (VERY pregnant bitch). Dogs' owner was seriously pissed off. BUT he wouldn't pay the fine so she ended up PTS with her puppies. He is a moron and used to go away and leave dogs with a bag of food on the verandah. I wouldnt blame anyone for shooting dogs who were attacking poultry or stock.
  3. I'm pretty sure that was EXACTLY what was going through his mind at the time.
  4. Mine spent some time at obedience being a 'post' for figure eights. He'd had enough of whatever we were doing, so would drop and stay. Luckily, the instructor and class were obliging (not to mention laughing hysterically) . He loved agility best.
  5. What breeds don't appeal? Get them knocked off the list to start with. What level of activity are you after? What are you and your family able to offer a new pup/dog? Coat preferences?
  6. Crossposted. Fingers crossed they get all the help they need.
  7. No sun today, but it can take as long as it needs to get dry. I have bought a mattress protector.
  8. Thankyou PME. Luckily, there are spare bedss if needed for it to dry properly.
  9. Someone, not human, had an accident on the bed. I have BioZet. Question is, do you make a paste of it, or disslove it in lots of water? TIA
  10. And mine were the total opposite of what you've described.
  11. On Friday, it will be 12 months since we lost our 19 year old Dachshund, a week before her 20th birthday. I miss her everyday. Her bed is still where she slept on it, the other dogs don't use it. I don't think I will ever stop missing her.

I've only just seen this. So sorry for yoyr loss Raelene. Rest easy old girl.
  13. My OH (all 6'3" truckdrivin' redneck) has a Shihtzu and a Chix. They are his babies.
  14. From the perspective of a pet dog / obedience person. I had a GSD and a Mal at the same time. The Mal was quicker on the uptake at training, got bored easily and would happily accommodate being one of the 'posts' for figure eight heeling patterns. He was quick, smart, could climb like a cat, dog and people social, loyal. The GSD was a 'plodder' in comparison. Lovely temperament, very laid back, also dog/people social, loyal. Now I have a Terv and he's a whole new kettle of fish.
  15. Sorry Pers. Damn snakes. RIP Molly
  16. Don't feed her weetbix. Don't leave her food all day. What did the breeder feed her? Were you given a care sheet with feeding on it?
