  1. Gayle, it's awful. Even 12 months down the track. Her bed remains untouched, I can't put it away or give it away. She was such a special little dog.
  2. ravensmyst00, what's inside the shed like? Wonder why the first one leaked?
  3. Abbey would have been 21 today. Still loved and missed.
  4. RIP Dolly. Hugs to you Dollygirl.
  5. Hardly unfair if the dog was at large. Pay the fine.
  6. Saw this poor dog on the news tonight. The news report sounded like it was a lot more serious than your quote sm. They said it was uncertain whether the dog would recover.
  7. Why not build a run for her. You then know where she is and that she's not getting up to mischief. I wouldn't like to have to depend on strangers plucked from the classifieds.
  8. Have her done on a Friday, then you have the weekend to make sure she is ok.
  9. I thought the dog ate the doctor when I read the topic name.
  10. Absolutely. It just goes to show the temperament of my dog though. He could have turned out very different from the dog he is today. Whoever bred him did a good job. He has a serious indent around his neck.
  11. And that is the problem with my dog. He was chained outside from 8 weeks to 3 months (not by me) when he was picked up with the collar embedded in his neck. This needed to be surgically removed. He had a huge issue with collars too, understandably.
  12. No worries Parkeyre, and I'm sorry I chose your post to reply to. Could have picked one of several. I just don't think people get that some dogs, despite the intentions and hopes? of owners, do not like being indoors. My outside boy has won his class at obedience, he is a velcro dog OUTSIDE. I could never leave him there and not have any interaction with him. He has no desire to follow the little ones inside at night. He has a bed on the verandah and another in the enclosed carport.
  13. I believe this incident happened in Nimbin, have any of you been to Nimbin? I do have some very normal friends that lives there but the place is full of very feral people. The kids run around dirty with no shoes and very little supervision. (parents are too stoned) The animals are even worse so I cant see any dog training going on or teaching kids to respect animals. I would be very surprised if it was a pure breed Labrador :D I do hope the little girl is ok I'm not going anywhere near your gross generalisation of Nimbin. Re the bolded part. One question. Why?
  14. My outside dog gives me plenty of 'companionship and company'. I spend a lot of time with him. Training him, walking him, just hanging out with him. I would like him to come in but that ain't going to happen, I would rather he be relaxed and content outside than stressed to the max inside. Would not be fair on him. He refuses to come IN the door, what am I supposed to do? Lug him inside and superglue him somewhere? If him being outside 24/7 makes me a bad owner then so be it. FWIW our little dogs are outside all day too.
  15. I have a dog who refuses to come inside. He stresses, paces and drools if he is brought in. He is happy outside. We spend lots of time out there with him. He is quite welcome inside but chooses not to. Short of stapling him to the floor, what would you suggest? He certainly is no bother and doesn't make mess or trouble.
  16. That's great. (And what a beaut pic of Tully).
  17. I love my Mini Fox Terrier. She is the most faithful, adoring little dog. She is bold and brave and has a demented streak. She makes me laugh with her antics. She's a cuddlebum. I love my BSD. Blonde, beautiful and brainless, but he is very smart! He is loyal, obedient and gentle.
