She's really slowed down over the past few months, so after bloods and wee came back clear the vet decided that her throat needs to be looked at properly. Apparently with age, tendons slacken and her trachea may be a bit floppy and/or her soft palate may have dropped down a bit, obstructing her breathing and making her feel a bit crappy. Apparently surgery would've started around 11am, just a look at first to see what it's like in there. If it's not too bad, they will correct it today. If it's bad, then she'll have to see a specialist. So can everyone think 'not-too-bad-throat' thoughts please

You're both awesome and totally inspiring and if it wasn't for the both of you, I wouldn't have ever picked up a DSLR. Congratulations - you both deserve all the success and recognition you are getting *group hug*

I'm using a Pentax IstD! It's not mine though, it belongs to Ashanali.

I love both of those Rappie! ;) Boring markety ones from today:

Thank you The clean up is still going on I just found some paint on my elbow. The bath was completely green, so I emptied it and they had another one. Not too bad. The hardest part was not letting them touch anything as we made our way through the house.

The meerkat is really cute I post the same old all the time too. Sorry

Pugs look great as bees It would've been funnier if she'd kept the hood on

Not sure if this one is right or not, Lola is in the middle, but I was thinking about the way the grass and the tree is split.

Has he slowed down? Using up less energy? Lola has really slowed down lately (she needs soft palate surgery), so I've had to decrease her food intake. Each day, she'll have a couple of sandwich crusts and either: a chicken wing or 2-3 chicken necks or a small (like palm sizes) lamb off cut or 1/4 of a salmon frame They really don't need much food. Porky little dudes

I mean that a sample size of one dog that didn't have a reaction doesn't mean that 'size of the dog' has nothing to do with it. Everything I've found measures the potentially lethal rate as oz per kg. So, ounces of chocolate per kg of dog. So, size of the dog has a lot to do with poisoning. From here: http://www2.aspca.org/site/DocServer/toxbr...1.pdf?docID=111

In your sample size of one dog?

The size of the dog has everything to do with it.

Fingers crossed Mums 11 kg mini schnauzer ate an entire 250g block lastnight. She phoned the emergency vet with instructions to watch him closely. He's somehow fine, thank goodness.

I'm an idiot. We went away for the weekend and I remembered the DSLR, but forgot the card So I had to use the Lumix. It's been so long that I actually held it up to my eye to take a photo I felt really lost about having no control over the outcome. Anyway, I really like it, but so wish I had taken it with the good camera. 13/52 - Lola:

Love them! Love the cranky face and I love how dopey and gazelle-like Asha looks. Hey Amps, the little guys can wear novelty headwear, you just have to make a set of ears (I made them for Lola). Just cut some ears out of felt and sew them onto a ribbon.

They made me laugh Shell They're great.
