  1. Oooh, I don't know - I would call it 'Assistant to Multi-Award Winning Photographer' Which you could both add to your resumes.
  2. Cool, crazy Harry face. I hope that face is ok, coz it's the only one he has :p I'm going to try and get there a bit earlier so I can attempt to wear him out a tad before photo time.
  3. Yep, that's fine. As long as I have the ball, I have the power
  4. She is quite deep chested, I've never really had a problem with it though. All her ribs feel normal.
  5. I think the only option is to move up here, WP ;) Agreed :D
  6. I just thought I'd give everyone a little update. Lola is fantastic, back to her usual self - actually, better than her usual self. She is happy and bouncy and even trying to play with Harry (which she never does). So it was most definitely a success! She has that cheeky look back in her eyes: And she's out exploring instead of snoozing the day away:
  7. Whoops! Falling behind a little bit with Harry. Lola - 16/52: Harry 15/52: Harry 16/52:
  8. Lola's tail is straight when she's tired or sad, but always curly when she's happy and waggy.
  9. I think in general, a leather collar is going to outlive a nylon collar - but there are good and bad in both types. I have a leather collar from Ruthless that I think will last around 100 years :D The quality is fantastic. I make and sell nylon collars and so far haven't had any reports of my clips breaking, the first thing that goes is the fabric covering.
  10. Poor Red :D I'd just avoid them in future. Chicken frames are good, but I'd try and give him some more variety. Like Stormie said, turkey necks are great and I find salmon awesome for my guys. You just need to find a fish market that will sell salmon frames to you cheaply. My guys get lamb flaps too, but I don't know if they're too small for the big guy.
  11. Awww, that face! :D Love the wrinkles. Awesome job, as usual
  12. He looks a bit on the chunky side, easily done with pugs though. If he was mine, I'd like to see an actual tuck and waist Lola's a bit finer than Ollie, but I like to be able to see the outline of her last rib:
  13. Honestly, you wouldn't even know she'd had the surgery. She is totally back to normal. She has a little sneeze every now and then, which the vet said might happen, as they have irritated everything and the stitches might tickle. She was snoring pretty loudly again lastnight too, but she is so much bouncier than she was pre-surgery. She is definitely back to her happy little self
  14. Whoops, a bit behind with Harry. Here he is in his new collar from Ruthless 14/52 - Harry:
  15. Fantastic news Bec :D This could be the photo that launches your career!
  16. I've heard 12-14 years, but I'm sure there are exceptions. Lola is 5.5 yrs.
  17. 15/52 - Lola Apprehension - waiting in the carpark at the vet clinic
  18. Cool pic I wish I could've seen it, it sounded so interesting when he described it to me. She was doing some pretty intense snoring lastnight, it sounded a bit like the noise that you get when you slurp the last bit of a drink through a straw.
  19. We're home :D She is quite chillaxed, but I've heard Methadone will do that The vet said he doesn't know how she got through this long without having her soft palate trimmed, he said he took off about 12mm and her throat is like a funnel. They had to use a size 5 tube in her throat because nothing else would get down there  Anyway, he was quite fond of little Lols. He said he spent a bit of time after hours lastnight doing paperwork with a pug on his lap ;) He was very impressed with how relaxed she was and how she wasn't bothered by any of the other dogs getting around. I knew she'd be ok overnight, she's quite used to being crated and isn't all that attached to me Anyone will do. He also checked out her nostils while she was sleeping lastnight and doesn't think they need widening. So hopefully she will be much more comfortable soon.
  20. Dry toast?! That's awful! I had icecream and jelly when I had mine out, but I felt to cruddy to eat any of it. Very cruel for a 6 year old.
  21. She would love that Kirislin! Yoghurt has been recommended though One of the nurses just called, surgery is all finished and it went well. I have an appointment to pick her up at 4.15 this afternoon
  22. Well, apparently they had a big emergency today, so Lola didn't get to have her surgery. They did have a quick look while she was sedated and said there is a fair amount of soft palate to be trimmed, so the surgery won't be a quick one. She'll stay there tonight and have it first thing tomorrow and I should be able to take her home tomorrow night.
  23. Yeah...if they arnt running round like mad they are sleeping!!! Shud up ETA do you know what time you get to pick her up huga? Thanks for all the thoughts! Not sure yet Sammy. She should have to stay overnight (at the very least) for monitoring. It just depends on the severity of the surgery.
