We were going to New Farm Park today, so I decided the Powerhouse would be a cool backdrop for some modelling shots... More over on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lolapug/

I love this one

Cute family portrait Warls I attempted to take some market pics today, but the light was so low, so I had to have th shutterspeed really low... I really needed a tripod.
-
I don't think I would mind. I mean, don't take my size 12-14 self and whittle me down into a size 8 - but take away my pudge if it's overhanging I probably wouldn't even notice unless I saw the original.

She managed to steal a basket as a bed from the stallholder next to me on the weekend

I have a pug who eats meat on bone every night. Tonight it is chicken maryland, but she also gets chicken and salmon frames, wings, lamb flaps and lamb offcuts. I'm sorry that you lost your pug that way, but I would think it is a rare occurance? Maybe you could supervise feeding? Feeding any dog (but especially a brachy breed) soft food only is going to be pretty bad for their teeth.

Cute. That pug has some legs, there's no way Lola could jump like that She struggles to get into the car. Stick around DOL and you will see some puglets in great shape

What about that guy with the big Dane? People are so strange! Lola was sooo adorable, she was so lovely When I met her, I was crouching down patting her and a dad brought his little boy of about 3 years old up. The boy was clearly nervous and the dad was trying to make him pat Lola. I started gently stroking her on the head and the little boy relaxed when he saw me doing it, and I asked him if he wanted to give Lola gentle pats as well, and he did, and the smile on his face, omg it was beautiful. I got little tearies! Lol She's a fantastic dog for nervous little ones So many people asked me how I taught her to be so well trained and just sit there She's just too lazy to do anything else! She was exhausted by the time we got into the car and crashed the whole way home. All that basket sitting and pat receiving must be hard work.

Cute photos ;) I'm loving the teeth on that other little dog
-
Oh those basket ones are awesome  She did love it. Poor dear is exhausted now. Her coat pushing up her neck roll is very becoming
-
Thanks guys. The second one is my fave too  I think it will end up printed and on a wall in the house somewhere.

They like to *cough* build their immunity by chewing the dog toys... Attempted Family Portrait Ed does an excellent 'Downward Dog' And a little bit more backlighting practice:
-
Dash looks very dashing in his smoking jacket and lip ring
-
Ok good. But they aren't very sharp and I'm pretty sure the flare across Ed's face isn't the desired outcome You're right. Some people will put their hand up and block the sun while they focus then when the focus is locked they take their hand away. You could try that to get a sharper image. Oooh ok, thanks

They also have some mink ones for $5 and double bed size for $7 I got some today. Oh wow - even better
-
I love the crab! I've just been having a go at backlighting. Can anyone let me know if I'm on the right track?
-
They had some nice colours - a fawn, a chocolate and a red.
-
I grabbed one today. They are 127cm x 152cm, so big enough to make a dog bed cover (for my guys anyway). Cheaper than buying polar fleece at a fabric shop

I wonder how many of us now will be hanging around the chickens this year at the Ekka. I have already been inspired to plan a photography excursion to the Ekka this year ;)
-
I really like that chook one. I love how the white one is sticking her head out and everyone else is just chillin' And I love the birth one. Makes me teary every time I look at it And the one of Shell, of course ;)
-
Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with them, especially since they were a 30 second effort. I love the landscape one Ash. I really like the 'sunburnt country' vibe it has going on

These are really simple, but I just wanted to check the afternoon light in our new house
