I am another Lumix fan I started out with that and there were quite a few people that thought I was using a DSLR The video function records in HD, so it's great quality. My Lumix photos start here (at the chunky reindeer kid ) through to the end of the stream. ETA This set from Soundwave was also on the Lumix http://www.flickr.com/photos/lolapug/sets/72157624468089181/

We have a Mitsubishi Verada (like a Magna) station wagon and I love it to death. I can fit the dogs plus all their stuff and the kids quite comfortably. Plus, I always pack it full of stuff when I attend markets for my business. It's a fantastic car.

Chilly here today:
-
That's a fantastic chair too Helen. 29/52: And a couple of outtakes:
-
Perfect Helen - I love it. Personally, I like her position and probably would've done the same (avoiding dead centre). I still have to take Lola's pic for this week and it's raining

Canons and Nikons are both good, although I learnt on an old Pentax. All I can suggest is go into a shop, ask to hold them and decide what feels better in your hands. The Nikon felt better to me, because the dials were in a similar place to the Pentax - the dials on the Canon felt a bit weird to me. It's really about personal preference.

Cool Helen! I especially like K and L

Yep, with the D80 and just the kit lens. I'm hoping to be able to get the 50mm 1.8 next weekend Thanks guys. He is a pretty funny little panda and a good photograhpy subject. And yes Kirislin - Mr Huga is a pretty good guy too

I didn't post the result, because it's a bit OOF But here he is recently: And post haircut today:
-
Actually, the tears were at the start, he wasn't a fan of the spray bottle. All was fixed with a choc chip bikkie though The hairdresser offered me some locks, but I declined.
-
Not a dog, but a kid. It was his first haircut and I'm a bit sad - he looks so grown up now!
-
Yeah, he's a big freak Pug x GSD.
-
Love all the pics My two always snuggle, ever since Lola came home with us almost 6 years ago. Even if they aren't technically sleeping, Lola will lay on Harry.
-
Thanks Kirislin - I was thinking the same thing. In a way, I wish it had stayed dead, because now I might have trouble proving it. I'll see how it goes over the weekend.
-
And now it's working again. How bizarre.
-
Well, that didn't last long I picked up my camera today and it turned on for a second, before the screen went a hazy shade of dark grey. Now it won't turn on at all Probably something to do with the contact points for the battery, as they have been replaced before. I hope it doesn't take long to fix/replace.

What Do You Use To Walk Your Dog And Why?
huga replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Lola usually has an all in one collar/lead thingy. Works like a martingale and has no clips. Harry usually walks with a prong collar, but if we are going running I put a soft martingale on him. Just normal polypropylene leads with fabric on them. -
Awww, that first photo made me all teary. They are fantastic pics and I agree - never too many!

Good that you got to return it If you are considering upgrading, really, really shop around. I was able to get my D80 twin lens kit for $500 (a month ago). The shop had had it for 12 months with no interest and were willing to burn it to get rid of it (because it had been superseded by the D90).

Here is my (amatuerish) opinion: I would rotate Fable a touch and change it to B and W. Rotating it makes the flare (?) in the corner less distracting. As for the Queen of Hearts - I think it's perfect and wouldn't touch it
-
Fran - if they're going to be pains about it, I am looking to buy a 50mm 1.8 - just so you know
-
Awww, happy birthday Soaks!
