What a bargain!! I think I just wanted a Canon for the first time ever

I would love one! I had no idea that macro lenses had such a variety of uses

Hey MM, I had a photographer over here recently (works for the Courier Mail). He was using a 24-70 and when I said I was jealous, he said not to bother with it and to get the 100mm macro instead. He said it usually lives on his camera and he uses it for everything, from portraiture to fashion work.

I got mine from COTD too and it's fantastic - love it

Every now and then it decides to turn itself off and not come back on for a couple of hours. Good old intermittent fault.

My camera is off having a check up, so I'm out until it comes back.

God knows how she managed it, but she was quite pleased with herself and got very cranky when Harry went near her 'kill' And there is a certain famous bullmastiff that recently caught a bat

SOme great zoomies there I love Jedi's zoomies And the snail. And the Frenchies Harry doesn't do zoomies, but Lola does when she's chasing him.

CM - I haven't seen the window one before - that is awesome I love it.

I don't have many official family portraits - I don't even have any with all of us in them. The one in my sig is one of my faves, the boys and Lola are there, but Harry was MIA To be completely honest, I find the very posed style isn't really for me ;) So I try to avoid it where possible. Makes sense that you would come across her through work. It's all a bit... pastelly and fluffy for me, but she's obviously very good at what she does.

Try and budget for a 50mm 1.8 (around $150 for a Canon, I think). Such a versatile little lens
