Ok, I will preface this by saying I suck at action, but I would up everything - try and have the s/s closer to 1000. Also, your darling dog is like mine and cameras hate focusing on all white things.

I know it's not a NBT ;) I was just commenting on getting asked about his tail all the time.
-
Yeah, I get the same.
-
I get asked about Sid's (lack of) tail all the time.

There is no time limit between getting your prefix and breeding. In fact, so long as your paperwork is complete and in the office, you are ready to go.

Haha - love that photo of Boof Day 175 - 24.06.11 Grateful for... Pizza! Day 176 - 25.06.11 Grateful for... New goals (I think).

Ah yes, fun no? ;)

Wonderful You even hit focus on their eyes.

I have the 24mm 2.8 and I love it. It's probably on my camera 50% of the time, maybe more (for personal stuff, not weddings etc). I use it way more than I ever thought I would, but I don't think it's super wide, especially not on a crop sensor. I'm looking for something wider and am considering the Sigma 10-20mm. This is one from this afternoon:

Day 170 - 19.06.11 Grateful for... Spotting a new house everytime I look at the curtains. Day 171 - 20.06.11 Grateful for... Our electric blanket. Day 172 - 21.06.11 Grateful for... A bit of impromptu dancing. Day 173 - 22.06.11 Grateful for... Having everyone home safe after a rough day. Day 174 - 23.06.11 Grateful for... A bit of late afternoon sunbaking.

Sif we'd ever be sick of frenchies ;) Especially Miss Bailey

A few of us here go to Metro It's a decent place.

I like warm too. Shade looks good on my awful work monitor, I'll double check it on the Mac when I get home.
-
Ruth is Canon though and I'm Nikon

Enablers! Off to check out the Tokina...

So awesome CM. I want a 10-20mm now!

Wow! Everyone is growing so much! I have a soft spot for Archie, because him and Sid came home at almost the same time. Fantastic photos Naomi - the backlit one is stunning Sid is getting close to 6 months old! He is now bigger than Lola, is the same height as his adult Frenchie family members, but still only about half the width

When you backlight, skies are always going to be blown out, or the subject will be underexposed Cute pic. ETA This is Alicia's backlighting group on Flickr, check out the skies: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1144501@N20/pool/

Cool looking sea snake. Always a tad scary if the dogs find one of those guys washed up. No, not a thread killer, but lots of us only get in periodically to update. I'm still shooting daily, but generally uploading once a week. Oh and I figured out that I had skipped number 89 when I named my files, hence being a day ahead. All adjusted now Day 165 - 14.06.11 Grateful for... Learning drop. At home at least, dog school is a different story. Day 166 - 15.06.11 Grateful for... Catching that last tiny bit of light at the end of the day. Day 167 - 16.06.11 Grateful for... My mum teaching me how to sew. I always need to hem new jeans. Day 168 - 17.06.11 Grateful for... Comfy dancing shoes. Day 169 - 18.06.11 Grateful for... The bond forming now that we've started proper obedience stuff.

Mums are good like that. Ash gave me a good tip - if you don't have pockets, put the lens cap in your bra
-
God, I'm useless. Have lost covers and lens caps while shooting weddings
-
You'll love it, it's such a versatile little lens.

Ok, I think this is how it works: AF lenses have to rely on the focusing motor in the camera, as they don't have one in the lens. AF-S lenses have the motor built in to the lens. So AF lenses may be slower I have no troubles with mine though.

I use it on my guys with lovely results

Both will work on the D80
