I second the D7000. I know a couple of professionals that have bought it as a back up, apparently it kicks butt in low light (more so than the D300s, which I have). It also has video capabilities (not sure if that's important to you or not). I am still dreaming of the D700 (but that's around $3K). Dreaming...

What have you got Roz?

Slighty overexposed images will show barely any noise when compared to slighty underexposed images. I can comfortably shoot at ISO1600 when necessary (as long as it's not underexposed).
-
It definitely is intimidating at first, but so worth it Have a play - go orrrn ;)

Just start shooting in RAW, Wags. What do you use for processing? I import into LR, process and then export as jpegs. So yes, I have the original RAW file and then the edited jpeg. There's not much to it, but RAW keeps a lot of information, so you can push the image much further with processing (ie save overexposed images etc).

I've been a bit slack with the uploading

There is also Rocstar http://www.madeit.com.au/storecatalog.asp?userid=5462 Cindy uses the same hardware supplier as me and we sew the same way, so I can personally vouch for her stuff :D

Naww, thank you. But between the photography stuff and starting a full time job again, something had to give.

Probably me. But I'm not doing them anymore. Clyde would be your best bet

I would love it if Lauren took part She is absolutely gorgeous.

Ok, I'm floored. I've just come home to 21 emails. I have no idea how many Serena has. You guys are awesome, but unfortunately not everyone is going to be able to be involved. But don't stop sending your applications in! We will look at them all individually before we decide.

That first one is perfect, Kirislin - really moving. You did well. I wouldn't touch it, I don't like to complicate emotion (other than a B&W coversion).
-
You guys are awesome, thank you Can I just remind anyone, that if you are interested in becoming involved, you drop either of us an email. That way we can have a proper list of people and dogs and it makes it much, much easier for us. Thank you!
-
Fran, if it can be arranged, please let me know (but don't book a trip down here just for us!).
-
Not much ;) We haven't thought that far ahead yet
-
We want YOU :D Coming down anytime soon? We can arrange the dog ;) PSST, borrow one, dooo it! Speaking of which, whether I'm the right look for you guys or not Huga, I have a stack of jewellery (a good few pearl necklaces and bracelets) and a couple of corsets I may be able to lend you, if you need them. Thank you! That's so kind When you say very little? by what do you mean? I'm interested, and comfortable in my own skin, but I'd like a little more info if thats alright, I also have both my girls (the dogs lol) available to use Well, today Serena had on a corset and frilly knickers. I had on a vintage berlei lace sucky-inny thing (that's the technical term), with a little capelet. It will pretty much be underwear, maybe a little dress. The key is, it has to be pin-up/vintagey/cool. We both did our own hair and make up. And is has to be troweled on, because the camera really washes you out. We would love to have professionals on hand, but alas, we don't have the budget. Actually, the budget is $0

Thanks everyone so much for your interest. We really are so keen on this project. Can I just reiterate though, you really do need to be comfortable in your own skin. Today was really difficult for both Serena and I. You will be photographed wearing very little, it's tough. I'm so chuffed by all the interest :D

We posted at the same time ;)

Thanks girls I actually meant to post this in General And I forgot to add - we need men! Men are encouraged to drop us an email too ;)

Thanks to everyone who has emailed. We have been overwhelmed by the response - so much so that we've had to close it off. We will be in touch with everyone who has taken the time to contact us. We still may run short on canine models, but will put the calls out in this thread if they are required. Thank you all so much Here is a taste of our little project...

I've seen images on Flickr before of another pool - I thought it was a very cool idea. My pug swims like the one in the photos I'm not sure how the Frenchie is yet, we haven't been near the water much with him.

These have a leetle bit of flare:
-
I get different flare from each of my lenses. The closest I get to the rainbow type is on the 24mm. I like the flare from the 105mm best though. I'll have to try and find some. I love flare and backlighting
