  1. Perhaps it was in the past, but it is definitely not allowed now (in QLD at least, but I'm pretty sure all states are the same).
  2. I don't think it's 'shady'. The dogs name is really up to the breeder. Perhaps she has a long prefix, so having too many characters pushes it over the limit? Or the name was rejected?
  3. Bulldogs like to eat stuff, edible or not :D
  4. Sid got his Christmas on with all the other Frenchies at the FBC party today :D
  5. Dont forget there is 1 that got her ET this year held by the Hungarian Viszla Club Vic :D Really? I haven't heard of a pug with an ET. But I know a Frenchie who got hers this year with the Viszla Club
  6. I love your beautiful use of space and light. Lovely
  7. I will be using Camera Pro for my next one http://camerapro.net.au/
  8. Thanks all And thank you Mel, I missed this earlier
  9. Holy crap Shell - I had no idea that Zero was in such a state when you got him! Well done :D You have made him a new dog, both physically and mentally.
  10. That's a good change in Archie though I don't have too many puppy photos of Lola (she is 8 now): Sid turns one on Boxing Day, so probably still has a little bit more filling out to do: Sid and The Kid:
  11. Just had a massive fail with mine Will try a different way later on. It's Sid's first Christmas and I discovered I can bribe him to wear things - mwahahahahaha.
  12. Dan O'Day Todd Hunter McGaw Jonas Peterson Christine Pobke I'm positive there are more...
  13. I get into a bit of a zone when I shoot, so there wasn't too much cuddling going on. There were a few times when I was laying on the ground, shooting away and got mauled. Can't say I minded a bit of 'death by puppy' :D
  14. That one is one of my faves too. I love it :D Yep. The little guys are 7 weeks and there is also Ziva, who is a keeper from another litter. She is 12 weeks old and just the loveliest girl. She completely tolerated all the little ones hanging off her.
  15. I got to photograph these guys on the weekend There's a few more on the blog
  16. Well, the model is my best friend and one of my favourite people in the world, so I kept her ;) The purely puppy shoot came later in the afternoon.
  17. I had *so* much fun with this shoot yesterday. I can't decide on my favourite!
  18. Haha - I love that top one Ange! I cheat that way too - focus on something on the same focal plane. My eyes are pretty average blue. There's something about the light in my bathroom that makes them glow
  19. I suck at them, so I barely have any I think next year though, I will do 52 weeks of selfies, simply because I never exist in photos. I would like my boys to have some of me to look back on A friend of mine (also a photographer) is doing that project, but with each selfie, she gives advice to her boys. It's very cool.
  20. I *think* she's one a day, from memory. And yep, stop down to help with focus. Probably manually focus on the spot you want and go from there. A remote would certainly help (I still haven't got around to buying one!).
  21. Terra would be the one to ask, she's done a whole year of them For me - camera on tripod or something stable and stop down realllllly low. Like 5.6 onwards.
  22. There's always the classic rockwheeler My guys aren't really called anything weird (but people rarely call Sid a Frenchie). I have a problem with 'Staffordshire', at work I type 'Staffordshite' at least a couple of times a day
  23. Which is why I can't work out why mine was rejected, cos I can't find any dog prefixes similar. You might not be able to, but there would have to be one too close - whether it's here or overseas. It has to be three letters different. So say you wanted bigfluffy - if there was redfluffy or bigfluffee or bugflufky - you wouldn't get it. A lot of work goes into checking prefixes - hence the waiting time.
  24. The horsey connection won't matter, they only look at dog prefixes
