  1. The piano one is my favourite too :)
  2. Yep :D It started out as an entirely white room and every kid that goes in gets a sheet of stickers. This linky shows what it looked like before: http://blog.qag.qld.gov.au/before-the-first-dot-yayoi-kusama%E2%80%99s-%E2%80%98the-obliteration-room%E2%80%99-2011/ The little magic land is cool too, it's almost made entirely of sugar.
  3. The Gallery of Modern Art always has something fun. Today we took the boys...
  4. Pugs are such a special type of crazy
  5. They don't like focusing in areas where they can't find contrast (like a black dog on a black background) - could that have been the problem?
  6. Four 'Breathe out, So I can breathe you in, Hold you in...' - Foo Fighters (On a side note - very relevant, as my baby starts school tomorrow).
  7. I actually blogged about it when I started and said that I get a shock at how I look  It's weird! Very cute, Larissa :)
  8. Ah, cool  Bless all the fellow selfiers, because it's so goddamn difficult! Nice to see everyone playing along.
  9. Yes. You'll probably find RAW presets are 'stronger'? RAW images can be pushed so much further than JPEGS.
  10. Nope, it isn't the 70-200mm is huge and very heavy. When I used it, it fit in my bag, but there is no way it would fit attached to my camera.
  11. Some of the Pretty Presets are nice: http://www.lightroompresets.com/ Same with the Coffee Shop ones: http://www.thecoffeeshopblog.com/search/label/Presets-LightRoom%20and%20ACR Adjust to taste :)
  12. Will they not just work over a RAW image? Otherwise, export as JPEG then re-import, but that is a pain in the butt. Editing in RAW is so much nicer, you will notice a huge difference.
  13. Just call Dogs QLD if you want to know if a breeder is registered or not.
  14. Kirislin - it was part of a protest, I think. Wiki and other places took part. It's back now :)
  15. Roova - it runs in the family, Sid has been an absolute pain. I feel your frustration. Frenchies (and pugs) are notoriously difficult to toilet train. I have been nothing but consistant, he has been crate trained from day dot and I still can't trust him. I can't remember the last time he went inside, but I watch him like a hawk and if I can't, he goes into the crate. So I couldn't tell you if he is toilet trained or not - he is just never left alone long enough to make a mistake ETA I always make him wee before I bring him inside. He understands the command.
  16. So sweet :) I love watching dogs and kids. My guys are great together, it's a totally different bond to the ones I have with the dogs.
  17. I feel the same about the 24-70mm  I borrowed one from a friend and found barely any of my images were in focus and the ones that were, were soft! And people rave about this lens! I borrowed a 70-200mm for a wedding last year and lurrrrrrrved it. What camera are you using? It might be the combination of your specific camera and that individual lens. I read a really interesting article about it recently (it's long!): http://www.canonrumors.com/tech-articles/this-lens-is-soft-and-other-myths/
  18. Thanks :) It's because I need guidance  I'm not very good at pulling ideas out of thin air.
  19. Three 'I said 'This won't mean a thing come tomorrow', And that's exactly how I'll make it seem, Coz I'm still not sleeping, Thinking I've crawled home from worse that this...' - Taking Back Sunday
  20. I don't have one, but I very much doubt the 70-200 would fit in the bag attached to the body.
  21. Camera Pro (not grey) have it for $1398. http://camerapro.net.au/nikon-d7000-body-australian-stock-stock-p-2354.html I'm not sure how that compares with postage etc though.
  22. Pretty light, gapvic :) I know what you were going for and I like the little bit of flare. If you are going to backlight, expose for the subject. The sky will be blown out, but that's ok.
  23. Rozzie just got one too :)
  24. I have heard many good things about this camera, so would love to try it. Apparently its low noise at high ISOs is bloody fantastic. Rachel Devine (http://www.racheldevine.com/) uses one as her back up to a D3. I thought I had read a review from her somewhere online, but it's actually on a private group, so I can't post it. Anyway, she likes it because the images SOOC are superb and also the lighter weight. It has video capabilities too. A friend of mine also has one and loves it. You can see some of hers here: http://loveandflare.tumblr.com/
